I wish it would open up the doors for more things. I still to this day don’t understand the big deal about the lips on Billy’s crotch, yet he has them on his ass. No pun intended… They’re just lips, not anything derogatory or blandly sexual to the naked eye. Especially considering WWE have their own line of shorts with catchphrases ("let me in", etc) deliberately across the crotch. |

Imagine going to the gym with shorts stating “The beast incarnate”, or “the needle mover” on your crotch. That’s not PG anything 😆 |

At least for the foreseeable future, toys will always be marketed to kids, or more accurately, the parents buying toys for their kids. When I was nine I loved Stone Cold tossing up the middle fingers, but my parents probably would have given pause buying me a figure like that. I vividly remember being in a Best Buy around that age and my parents were willing to buy me any WWE DVD besides SummerSlam 03 because Sable was implied nude on the cover, and my parents were fairly permissive compared to most. Unless toys became a niche adult thing (which would be bad for collectors in general) Mattel will always make a PG product. I do think TV-14 could possibly help sales though. I got into wrestling because it felt more adult as a kid, I do think kids could become more attracted to the product if it becomes a little more edgy and provocative. Pretty much the same story for me. I remember being in Kmart and my mom told me I could pick out a figure....any figure except Val Venis. |

WWE going to TV-14 doesn't mean Mattel is going to follow suit. Exactly. Mattel still has to live up to the standards of producing kids' toys. They're not gonna walk into a shareholders meeting on Monday morning and say "okay, WWE is TV14 now, so here's a DX Triple H with a 'suck it' shirt, a bloody Cactus Jack, and an Austin with middle fingers." If the TV14 thing follows through, I'd be surprised to see any real significant changes from Mattel. |

I was hoping with TV-14 that maybe ECW can be recognized on TV which allows Mattel to make a line of ECW Elites. Since they don't seem to get the same love as WCW characters.

Maybe add the middle fingers to Austin's future figures and the lips logo to Billy Gunn's crotch in future releases. There’s no way y’all really thought Mattel would make these things |

I was hoping with TV-14 that maybe ECW can be recognized on TV which allows Mattel to make a line of ECW Elites. Since they don't seem to get the same love as WCW characters. WCW stars are bigger names, it has nothing to do with the violence level. WWE have decided that those ECW guys aren’t worth signing to legends deals as much as WCW guys are, outside of RVD and a few of the top stars |

It'd probably need an 18+ rating to get made with accurate proportions, but I'm still hoping for a decent attempt at Jacqueline. |
