So with WWE going back to TV-14. Does that mean we'll be able to get wrestling figures (and attires) of characters we wouldn't have gotten during the PG era?

when you look at it? I dunno how restricted we were in that respect? We have got most of the big Attitude era guys and if they really wanted to make a Val Venis figure they would have called him Big Valbowski or something.....

Maybe add the middle fingers to Austin's future figures and the lips logo to Billy Gunn's crotch in future releases. Steve just recently said there will never be a Mattel Austin with middle fingers. Even with TV-14. |

It was debunked weeks ago that WWE isn't really going back to TV-14 and that they might look to do it in the future.
That being said, Naked Mideon or Survivor Series 2006 Cryme Tyme with "box."

At least for the foreseeable future, toys will always be marketed to kids, or more accurately, the parents buying toys for their kids. When I was nine I loved Stone Cold tossing up the middle fingers, but my parents probably would have given pause buying me a figure like that. I vividly remember being in a Best Buy around that age and my parents were willing to buy me any WWE DVD besides SummerSlam 03 because Sable was implied nude on the cover, and my parents were fairly permissive compared to most. Unless toys became a niche adult thing (which would be bad for collectors in general) Mattel will always make a PG product. I do think TV-14 could possibly help sales though. I got into wrestling because it felt more adult as a kid, I do think kids could become more attracted to the product if it becomes a little more edgy and provocative.

I would love it if they could do maybe a Ringside Exclusive line of TV-14 figures. Even if it is once or twice a year, where only on Ringside they had the Austin with middle fingers, Val Venus, Farooq with 'Damn' shirt, Billy Gunn with lips, figures like that. That way they would not be on the shelf at Target to offend the parents.

i would say no, given the figures are geared towards children with adults in mind. reminds me of the "rising sun" cancel culture attire since someones feelings got hurt, i couldnt imagine anything else would slide thru. smh.

Mattel made a pimp character and multiple figures of people who appeared in adult films. I donβt think PG era restricted anything.

The only way youβll get anything other than a basic figure is if mattel lets the license expire or they lose them . Other companies are showing theyβll do alot of things mattel wonβt.

Thatβs all tv-14 has meant for raw is more talking/rehash, a 1 hour episode of rampage has more wrestling then 3 hours of raw

I wish it would open up the doors for more things. I still to this day donβt understand the big deal about the lips on Billyβs crotch, yet he has them on his ass. No pun intendedβ¦ Theyβre just lips, not anything derogatory or blandly sexual to the naked eye.
