...if the line can carry mid carders at retail.
It has going for it that's its Jeff 1st WWE figure in since the 90s, but it's probably from Jeff's weakest period in his career during one of the weakest eras.

I asked Steve in the Q&A thread about if this meant the Ultimate line was expanding into lower card guys. He said only for special occasions and two packs; the main line (retail) would remain main eventers and “significant debuts.”
Sounds like this Double J may be separate from the main line and not hit traditional retail, based on that response.

It survived the first series going on mass clearance and the inclusion of Balor and Nakamura so I think it’s going to be just fine.
We’re now at UE exclusives at Target, 2 years in a row at SDCC and now multiple Mattel creations exclusive ultimates
No need to worry. If people are willing to pay $3,000 for a Jay Strongbow then I think a $30 Double J will be fine

O rJarrett counts as a "significant debut."

Speaking as someone who was never a big Jarrett fan I wouldn’t call him a mid carder. This gimmick is but he was one of the top guys towards the end of WCW and the face of TNA for several years. He’s definitely the biggest non-Steiner name that has yet to get a Mattel figure and this is the most toyetic version they could do.

I think being the first release of a long-awaited character will make it sell pretty well.

If Jarrett was a Midcarder, Razor Ramon aka Scott Hall was too and we wouldnt get an ultimate either. For me both are legends

I've always been a fan of Jeff Jarrett so maybe I'm biased but his gimmick then is very toyetic and also works well with the New Gen arena.

As I’ve mentioned before, I think Jarrett was a very meh star. That’s said, it’s his first figure in the line, in an attire that people want, that goes with the New Gen arena. It’ll sell fine.

I don't care for Double J, but I do want the figure...
So I can pose Amazon HBK super kicking him into oblivion. 😊
