X-Men 97 hasn't missed yet.
I'm still disappointed about episode 5s ending but the show is just so good.

Feelings on the Rhodey situation being somewhat clarified via FATWS deleted scene?

Feelings on the Rhodey situation being somewhat clarified via FATWS deleted scene? Good because I refuse to accept that he was a skrull from Civil War onwards. It was absolutely ridiculous

Not Phase 5 or 6 related, but I just watched the special feature on the 1990 Matt Salinger Captain America collector’s edition Blu ray and I found it interesting that he wasn’t the director’s first choice for Captain America. The director wanted to cast two Steve Rogers. One small guy for sickly Steve and then he wanted Howie Long for post super soldier serum Steve/Captain America. But Marvel/studio said no it had to be just one actor.
So he went with Salinger, because he was lean enough that he could look sickly but tall enough and athletic enough to be Captain America. Now I will admit even though it was campy at times and they changed his origins I do really love this movie, but I would have loved if the had cast Howie Long as Captain America. I even said that to my friends way back then I thought he would have been a great Captain America. So I am a little bummed out now knowing it almost was Howie.
And personally I think the Captain America suit is the best comic book costume to ever be represented in a movie. Oh and I just found out the human ears coming out of the cowl were fake ears attached to the cowl. lol

The Skrull separatists should have created a bioweapon as far back as FATWS. Early infections in heavily-congested boroughs full of Blipsters would have inspired the push for re-established national borders and quarantine zones. That motivates the Flag Smasher movement and leads to their eventual attack on the council in NY. A further perfected virus could pinpoint individuals and make the replacement an easier process, if their targets are all secluded in the ICU or otherwise immobilized.

I've seen arguments that Peggy's death clouded Steve Rogers' judgment about the Sokovia Accords, but isn't Tony Stark moreso? He had already been desperately trying to remove himself from the battlefield. He was going thru a break with Pepper after traumatic events in IM 3 and Age of Ultron. The world's inaction and corruption led to his initial trial run in the Iron Man suit. The government hated Tony walking away from his obligations and eventually stole a suit. He notoriously walked out of a Capitol Hill briefing way before Natasha did so (nice use of that by Nat to convince Tony of her allegiance, btw). 2-3 corporations with gov't contracts had corrupted heads that he had to deal with himself. And the events of Winter Soldier exposed gov't leaders to have HYDRA ties.
Plus, the whole "Bucky was innocent all along" thing.
Heck, you look at the entire squad who fought alongside Tony. Rhodey is a career serviceman. Nat was acting as a double agent. T'Challa was out for revenge, both for the Lagos incident and then his father's death. And despite being the precipice for international oversight, Wakanda would still have followed an isolationist agenda protected by their own enhanced individual. Parker was only in the fight to impress and become an Avenger. Notice in his convo with Tony about inaction causing consequences, is exactly what Steve warned about when the World Council would deny Avenger intervention. And Vision was thinking with his synthetic amygdala, so concerned over Wanda's safety it blinded him, as is illustrated when he accidentally blasts Rhodey out of the sky.

These issues surrounding the Blade movie are fairly frustrating. Folks in & out like Grand Central in NY at this rate...revolving door.
It might be time to start over & cut Ali loose...he sure sounds like he wants out. Also? He's getting old for an action franchise....

BNW has got me hyped for what comes after.
Assuming that the people just won't accept Ross becoming a big red rage monster as an official duty, this will be the third tumultuous presidency as far as the MCU has established. Ellis had that backstabbing VP and the HYDRA shenanigans, and Ritson's "kill 'em all" stance towards ETs didn't pan out. Several canon-or-not series put the late-2010s MCU on our path, but most projects haven't gone in much detail during the Blip years.
My point: the nation will need a reassuring presence to guide them. Will a certain someone come back from his base on the Moon and answer the call? Will Old Man Rogers be the MCU's next Commander-in-Chief?
It has to be destiny. We've seen the What If? scene during a young Rogers inauguration. That would've happened if he had just returned the stones and returned to the present day. This would be him finally seeing thru the other side of that coin. The payoff between Steve and Sam alone, after Sam's heroics in this film, would be outstanding.
That would put the Thunderbolts on weird footing though. Joining up with a shady Val to form his own "Avengers" squad is such a Ross thing to do. So he would have to keep the Office moving forward. Does nobody find out? Or is it a red herring, Ross really isn't the person embodying Red Hulk we see now, just an earlier test subject meant as a diversion to hide that Ross does have serum/powers?

Looks great and a big fan of Ford, but without being a downer, we probably won’t get much out of him in the future. It’s this and the Thunderbolts?
