So there is a pretty cool storyline where doom switches bodies with iron man, so I guess they are going with that. I won’t talk too much trash until I see it.

I think they realized getting rid of RDJ and Chris Evans in one swoop was a huge mistake. They had planned for Hemsworth to be done too but obviously have pitted away from that. So instead of finding a way to resurrect Tony stark this is the storyline they are going with to bring him back. They obviously didn’t plan to lose Chadwick too, so I do think after the underperformance/lack of enthusiasm over what they have been producing, and the Kang Fiasco they are making this pivot.
I do think instead of this they could have pivoted to the next phase being very mutant heavy but it is what it is.
