If AEW had it’s own “Attitude Era”, what AEW personnel would be perfect for the era?

does your query have to be tied to the current and past rosters, or open to promotional entanglements?

They are already in their own attitude era, mox bleeds every week, gimmick matches galore, crap, ****, prick ass said every week, jade and her friends in revealing attire every week.

I agree somewhat. AEW doesn't feature as many tables or chairs on a regular basis, but I think the company is actually more like ECW than Attitude Era WWF. You didn't see a lot of thumb tacks or barbed wire in WWF. You did in ECW. You didn't see a lot of people jumping off of or being thrown off balconies in WWF. You did in ECW. There was no real cruiser weight division at the time in WWF. Most of ECW were guys around 200 pounds. You didn't see as many top turnbuckle moves dives in WWF. We saw plenty in ECW. Over the top and through the ropes dives weren't as common in Attitude Era WWF as they were in ECW. All of those things are apart of AEW's repertoire.

The last thing I want is another "attitude era". Ruined wrestling for me for years.

Attitude Era is so damn overrated and I grew up watching and loved it at the time but going back and watching, it wasn’t that great outside of the upper midcard and main event talents

Back then anything could happen, the product was gripping and unpredictable. You would tune in to Raw and have no idea how it would end. I would go back to those days in a heartbeat.

Even the intro was hardcore. Loved it

You couldn't appreciate the Attitude era, unless you were of adult age - or close to it. It wasn't meant for little kids - much like AEW now... so it baffles me when I see little kids in the crowd. Minus the women stripping off, AEW has been pretty much just an attempt to rehash the Attitude era (with some ECW and FMW hardcore thrown in) anyway - only without the starpower and innovation of the original.

I dunno, Undertaker and Kane trading lightning bolts definitely wouldn't work for me as an adult as much as it did when I was 11.

I loved the attitude era as a kid. Half the pictures of me from probably 7-10 were either Taker eyes, suck it, or some type of wrestling gesture. It was a blast but I definitely got in trouble and home and school.
I’ll never forget there was a Video World a couple miles from the house. My mom took me there most every Friday night and rent me a few wrestling tapes for the weekend. I tried to get the DX tape once and the clerk told my mom it showed boobs. We went home with some other tapes that night lol
As far as AEW, it’s kind of AE and it’s also kinda not. I think they mix elements of it with indie and big time wrestling stuff. AEW gives much more time to matches and there’s obviously no level of skin being revealed as the AE did. They’re more willing to push the envelope and use blood and profanity so it’s definitely AE vibes at times. But we all know there will likely never be a level of pro wrestling popularity and influence like the AE ever again so let’s let AEW be AEW and see where this all goes.

Like which stars would be perfect if AEW started a new Attitude Era? Same booking style and everything? I think House of Black, Luchasaurus, Danhausen, Orange Cassidy, Ricky Starks, Jon Moxley, The Acclaimed, and Ryan Nemeth would thrive. Private Party and Butcher/Blade would be multiple time tag champs as well.

Their overall product is basically a Shelbyville recreation of the Attitude Era though. From the excessive blood, swearing, more violent matches etc.
