But…Do you think MDT are reusing some of the body sculpts alittle too much and in places that they really shouldn't.
I was looking at the Stone Cold and Rick Flair recently and the unique lower torso area for each makes the figures pop so much more. The chest seems the same but the abs are pretty much made for SCSA and the other for Flair. It makes them the Uliimate versions of each guy for sure. Pretty much perfect. I’d really like to see more of this with the bigger guys.
Goldburg for example had quite a thin long ripped body his elites never really captured him in that area.… Razor has never been done well Imo when it comes to body (and heads tbh)…. I really hope they make him thicker where it counts and not too ripped.
Roman, Rock, Triple H, Ultimate Warrior, Batista all having the same torso (I’m fairly sure) takes away alittle from the ULTIMATE part for me. Same with the reuse for Jeff body. Just seems we have started to let things slide alittle.
I only mention this to hopefully help improve the line alittle.
What’s your thoughts? If I need correcting in anything mentioned let me know as it may help me appreciate a figure more.

Yes. Jeff Hardy in particular was the first one to really stand out to me. I think that's the HBK torso(?) and it's just too big for him. Especially given how Shawn looked in 97.
I agree with you on Razor. He's never been beefy enough. So hopefully they get that right on the Ultimate. I'm looking forward to seeing Diesel in hand for this same reason. His Elites have all been pretty on the money but we saw with Bret and Taker that the top of the torso can throw off the figure. It seems they made the correction on this new Bret, though.
I'm sure in a perfect world, Mattel would love to do a unique torso for everybody. But we know from experience they try and reuse the parts as much as possible to save money when they can. And even when they have the right parts, somehow they're not even used plenty of times. I do agree with what you're saying, and I do think Mattel is working to make improvements where they can as they grow this line, but I do still expect to see them reuse parts where they think it works. Business first.

That’s actually one thing I enjoyed about the first releases of Ultjmates. They all had something unique going on for them. I don’t mind some reused parts here and there, but only when it works. I still to this day think that it’s odd how most muscular guys are given the same torso. Cena, Reigns, Warrior, Batista, Goldberg, HHH, The Rock are all pretty built. In no way shape or form do they resemble one another physically though. I think Mattel should at least create three or four torsos for these guys who are built. This is the cream of the cream line, their premium line. Also, reused headsculpts are getting somewhat repetitive as well. Crazy to think the Ultimate Reigns only got one new scan. All the parts minus the necklace were reused. For the most part, I’ll give Mattel props to listening and adjusting things. The first few UE had hideous torsos and they’ve worked on them. They’ve given us butterfly joints etc. Hopefully, things continue to improve.

Its really hit or miss for me. They arent as tight as marvel legends ab rocker joints and sometimes look weird
The new amazon warrior, amazon hogan and kanes torsos look great
I dont like flairs torso or many of the others. Some of the torsos look like an upper body on a cylinder and dont look like they beling together. Hopefully they get better with the molds

Flair and austin's are different. By not much. Weird why they make two different similiar bodies. HBK n Jeff uses the same one as flair, which i think is too wide for them. They have since make a smaller one on the newer jeff. Austin's limbs are too skinny imo. Wonder why they keep using those thighs when the gave Stunning Steve Austin figure bigger ones.
And Austin and Flair bodies arms can't sit straight by the sides which makes them look funny in vanilla pose.

Yeah there’s still improvements that could be made but those 2 really stood out to me but i don’t think many noticed the differences which to me really make the figures unique as they should be. I know there has to be reuse for cost saving measures but I’d really like more unique head and don’t molds to tip ultimates over the edge,

They're very similar, but with some small differences
