Howdy folks, been a while since I did one of these and I thought this would be a fun one. I have had a crazy amount of wrestling t-shirts over the last 30 plus years and I am pretty confident that I could do this ten times and the four I have picked from my childhood would be the ones that I would select each and every time.
Now, the four I have picked are from when I was a kid, but you do not have to limit yourself to that if you do not want to
Here are mine.
Bret Hart European Rampage 1992: I thought I was the coolest kid around when I was wearing this along with my Hitman shades lol. This is such a basic looking t-shirt, big picture of Bret on the front and the tour dates on the back, but for some reason, I loved this shirt. I loved it so much that I wore it literally to death where it eventually had to be thrown out as it was covered in holes!
Ultimate Warrior 1991 UK Rampage: For the life of me I cannot find an image of this t-shirt online, but I did find this poster that is the same image that was on the front of the shirt. I wore this shirt all the time as a kid, it had the tour dates on the back and it was my favorite Ultimate Warrior t-shirt that I had (although there was one that was a close second.
The Rockers 1990/1991: I know that my mum ordered me this t-shirt from the WWF catalog and it came all the way from the USA. This was a real favorite of mine as a kid, The Rockers were my team, but as much as I loved The Rockers, once they spilt there was no way I was wearing the t-shirt.
The Legion of Doom 1992: Before 1991, my parents had to go to a lot of hassle to order my WWF gear out of the WWF Magazine, international shopping back in the early 90s was not easy! Anyway, this Legion of Doom t-shirt was one of the first that I remember seeing on the rack of a store in the UK. There was this one, a British Bulldog one and an Undertaker one that all came out around the same time. The Undertaker one was pretty badass too, it had a cartoon style Undertaker on it, The Bulldog one was the one with him showing off his giant lats, it was the same as the one in the WWF Magazine at the time if I recall. Anyway, I loved the LOD and this t-shirt was really bad ass, I never had many t-shirs that were red as a kid so I think that was why I liked it so much.
Honorable mention goes to this WrestleMania VII t-shirt, but not the official one! There was this place near where I grew up called, Kinross Sunday Market and they sold this bootleg WrestleMania VII t-shirt and a bootleg Ultimate Warrior t-shirt and I am pretty sure half the kids in my school had both these t-shirts. I am pretty sure these were available before there were WWF t-shirts in various stores in the UK.
Anyway, I would love to know what your favorite wrestling t-shirts are.
