At 12 midnight April 3rd,TRU will once again have it's Star Wars midnight madness. TRU will opne it's doors so people can rush the store, and buy Revenge of the Sith figures. Anyone actually going to this thing? I thought about going just for the hell of it, and because I have nothing else to do on a Friday night. Here's the list of stores doing this by the way: www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Toys_R_Us_Midnight_Madness_Master_List_90372.asp

I won't. None of the stores around me are doing it and I don't want to travel 50 miles just to buy Star Wars figures.

Maybe, the closest store to me is doing it.
I won't buy any Sith figures, maybe there will be something else there.

I may just head to Wal-Mart instead.
I went to midnight madness last year, and aside from having to wait in line forever, they just threw them all in a kiddie pool, making it nearly impossible to find what you need. While the other collectors were helpful, I was missing a lot of the figures by the time I left. I had to go to Wal-Mart to find the rest, and the figures there were hardly touched.

Nope. Star Wars is a part of my life that is dead and buried...I once owned 90% of the original collection of 1977-83 figures, but recently sold them off... probably for a fraction of what I paid for them.

Blame it on George Lucas for ruining what he created.

Yeah, but I don't collect Star Wars, and I'm probably going anyway. I figure the Marvel Legends stuff will be virtually untouched.

Might be worth the trip if you can score some of the Cooperstown figures. I have all the ones I want either in hand, or coming to me... I might take a look to see what else they have, but knowing times square in the past, their sportspicks selection is horrible.

I do. Believe me, I loved the originals... loved them. I was brought up loving them. I had star wars everything.... however, I heard about the prequels and the special editions, and I was excited. I saw the SE, and there wasn't much harm... I wasn't a big fan of the changes, but that was just the start of the madness. Lucas has driven a once prestiegious franchise of movies into the ground with his massive hardon for CGI and special effects. People fell in love with his originals, not because of special effects... because they were BRILLIANT MOVIES. He ruined that. He comes off as disgusted by the originals. The movies that made him who he is. The trilogy DVD box set is a disgrace. And the Prequels have been very, very disappointing.

Makes me glad I still own the original, un ed versions on VHS. As do I. I have letterbox versions of the original. I still bought the DVDs, just because I'm a real bastard when it comes to collecting DVD.

I will hit a bunch of Walmarts that night. They will have better prices on all the ROTS merchandise. I will also hit TRU once I have been to all the Walmarts. I love the prequels and can't wait for these figures to come out.
