In fairness, that was a pretty short-lived look (those boots with those tights) so I can understand why Mattel haven't done it. It would be a nice change to be used as an excuse to release him in those barbed wire tights again, though, as a "new attire" to give people a fresher chance to get that figure/attire. It's a while since it was done, and it seems generally popular.
Oddly enough, I thought he wore that boot combo for a while. I know Jakks still gave him the '02 boots till the end of the line. Were the boots he wore after laceless?
Don't take this as 100% accurate, but from what I can tell, he ditched the 'straight jacket' singlet and swapped over to the 'barbed wire' tights at Unforgiven 2003 (which would have been September) and he still had those unique boots.
By the time Survivor Series rolled around (November 2003, so about 2 months later) he was wearing more generic boots (glossy black, laceless - they had a velcro cover on them.. which opened more than a few times during his matches).

I have the basic in a suit. I'm not too fussed about corporate elite because it'd be likely tricky to find now, and a suited figure, is a suited figure, to me.

So I managed to pick up the Elite 47.5 Kane.
Can anyone who has been following kane closer than me, tell me if he ever actually wrestled unmasked? Or when he came back with the welders mask on, was he always masked from that point on?
(I mean when he wore his proper ring gear.. I am aware they gave him a split personality, and 'corporate kane' wrestled in a suit, unmasked, but was 'demon' kane always masked when he wore his tights?)

You seem about right. I wish his '03 mask run was longer. I wonder how his attired would of looked had he not unmasked... We could of gotten multiple masked looks. |

So I managed to pick up the Elite 47.5 Kane. Can anyone who has been following kane closer than me, tell me if he ever actually wrestled unmasked? The only time demon Kane was unmasked but wearing the tights was when he unmasked with his back to the camera and handed his mask to Steph. As well as the botch in the DX vs BOD disaster where hbk pulled his mask off by mistake. He never actually came out televised and wrestled a match with no mask or intentionally appeared showing his face unmasked in the different types of flame gear (initial resurrected, sleeveless all red stitched design, singlet version of the same, his last ‘flame attire’. You’ll find a pic online of him at a house show entering a caged ring, I think that was the week after he switched to corporate Kane so that’s the only time he showed up in his wrestling gear just minus the mask. But of course it wasn’t televised. Honestly I was sick of Mattel rereleasing those figures over and over. Once made sense with a removable mask but they just kept adding removable mask after removable mask and avoided doing a better sculpt which they did need to do because their efforts were pretty average to that point. The worst part is the removable mask they included with each of those is a repaint of the 02-03 mask which is completely wrong. They only ever once did a removable version of the demon mask which came with the creature a superstar fig. I know you’ve covered off the corporate Kane is missing, but I’d be putting a suited version in there or even the basic since the legs were actually elite articulation level just to completely finish it off. |

Looks like the Elite WrestleMania 39 series thumbnail picture of (the real) Kane is a picture from WrestleMania XX, so we may be getting him in his barbed wire tights again, after all! |

Yeah I see what you're saying about the unmasked appearances not being normal (or the norm at all). Ah I'm happy enough with what I have at the moment, so. My 47.5 kane arrived (without the mask accessory) so although it's not really correct, i just threw the welders mask on him until I pick up a loose mask or masked headscan somewhere along the way. I think a couple of basics had it?
I do have the basic, with the elite legs, but it's more a space thing. If I squeeze him in, everyone is just gonna have to stand in single file. Everyone's beat into the small shelf space as it is. Need to get another of those display units, really.

Yeah it featured on a few basics over those years. Nearly all were the e22 scan with the teeth showing. If you can I recommend you try tracking down one of those create a superstar kanes which had the removable demon mask which is more accurate than the repainted 02 mask and that would work quite nicely. That’s how I have some of my demon ones displayed. I see what you’re saying about space, I guess it comes right With the 47.5 added in. It’s the corporate Kane and also the tank top version of the 47.5 that you’re really missing. Mine kept overflowing into more shelves so I know the feeling haha. |

I really hope Mattel start re-releasing old school masked Kane’s with the new heads from the UE and bigger bodies. The UE is awesome and the only one I display, all the masked Kanes before that were awful, I need at least a couple more pre-2003 Kane’s.

I really hope Mattel start re-releasing old school masked Kane’s with the new heads from the UE and bigger bodies. The UE is awesome and the only one I display, all the masked Kanes before that were awful, I need at least a couple more pre-2003 Kane’s. I hate that all the singlet Kanes all looked thin. That and most of the detail were cheaply painted on. Crazy to think that the R3 and RA 4? Had sculpted detail... The RSE Hardscore Kane was a huge disappointment imo. |

Really nice! I think Kane wore a red version of his mask in combination with the 2001 attire once vs Kanyon.
