I think those type of cards have ruined the baseball card collecting hobby.

I think those type of cards have ruined the baseball card collecting hobby. Well I really don't collect just for those, I collect mainly for stats, I love being able to sort through cards looking up stats... I'll update this later with my Red Sox/Yankee Collection

I think those type of cards have ruined the baseball card collecting hobby. Well, yes. I long for the days when the rookie cards were the most sought after cards in a set. sigh

Well, yes. I long for the days when the rookie cards were the most sought after cards in a set. sigh Exactly. People nowadays would rather have some jersey card of Mo Vaughn, that he wore for 10 minutes, instead of a Dan Marino rookie. Pathetic. But I still have my 86-87 Fleer basketball set.

I really like rookie cards over those cards, I just happen to get them from the packs I buy. I'm still looking for a Hanley Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis, David Ortiz, and Manny Ramirez rookie card.

I have Jerry Rice's rookie card, still the most prized card I own. I'v got Joe Montana's. I love it to Death. But My prized Card might just be Bart Starr.
