Before we dive into this I want to clarify that I am not talking about the six that came with the ring, although I always thought it was weird that they released six big heavy hitters with the actual ring, especially that long tights Macho King!
Anyway, I was going through my Hasbro collection over the weekend and I have a bag of Hasbro Mini figures, it is not a complete set at all I have,
Hawk Animal Earthquake Typhoon Butch Luke Texas Tornado Hacksaw Jim Duggan Greg the Hammer Valentine Mr. Perfect Brutus the Barber Beefcake Hulk Hogan
You may be wondering how I have Hulk Hogan, but not Roddy Piper, years ago I traded a member on here that Roddy Piper for his Hulk Hogan.... something I kind of regret doing, but on the flip side I did help a collector complete their collection. I have had these in my collection for probably over a decade, actually probably closer to 20 years! I always wanted to get the ring and the other figures, but realistically that is never going to happen.
Is there any market for these figures any more? I was thinking of letting them go, but if they are not really all that desirable, I might as well keep them in my box with all the other Hasbro figures.

I don't remember them doing a Warrior, that I can remember, anyway. I think they could've kept that line going and fleshed out the roster. I always remember the Hasbro minis being too lacking in names, and the stands they came on weren't the best for playing with. I'm always interested in mini figures, but most of them are way too cartoonish for me. The best were the Jakks mini line, just great value and great selection of names and rings.

Why shouldn’t there be a market for them. It’s WWF Hasbro.

There were 12 figures released moc. Brutus, Greg, earthquake, typhoon, Texas tornado, piper, hawk, animal, butch, Luke, hacksaw, mr perfect. Then there was 6 released with the ring only and included the metal round bases, these are the rare ones and they are. Slaughter, hogan, savage, Dibiase, Jake the snake, big bossman

Did it happen after Summer Slam 1991 when Warrior was fired? Judging by who was released in the line, the lineups must have been finalised some time between SummerSlam 1991 (Warrior’s firing) and WrestleMania 8 (Warrior’s return). Tugboat only became Typhoon around a month before SummerSlam, so the figures can’t have been decided much before then. And if they were done after WrestleMania 8, Jake wouldn’t have been in there.

I'm always interested in mini figures, but most of them are way too cartoonish for me. The best were the Jakks mini line, just great value and great selection of names and rings. I love the concept of mini figures - having an entire roster that fits in a shoebox. The Jakks mini ring and figures were the highlight of my wrestling figure collecting in the late nineties. Was awesome to get a ring and the six figures, plus whatever accessories - title belts, cage, railings, chairs, dumpsters. I don’t like how they got smaller after the first few though, Cruiserweight Kane didn’t feel right. But those first couple had a great balance of size, look and playability. I also really enjoyed the Jakks Micro Aggression series - although the sculpts on them were generally awful, there was some great detail on the outfits and they had way more articulation/playability. The regular releases were a positive too, and because they were small and cheap, it was easy to justify buying a three pack of repaints. They were so easy to mix and match/customise as well. And it was great to get the big setups like stages and elimination chamber etc. I wish Mattel would do something similar. I liked the Rumblers as little desk decorations, but they weren’t at all playable. And Mighty Minis were awful.

Thanks for the replies and insight guys Warrior not being part of the set is a strange omission, he must have been planned in the early stages. I still am not sure if I will keep them. I checked UK eBay and the prices are all over the place with many buy it nows seeming like they have been sitting there for months not being sold.

The main packs could be found at my toy liquidators (it wasn't called that but something else) just over the Bay Bridge on the Eastern Shore of MD up until at least early 1993. May have been even later but I think the store closed next family trip in 1995. I never did see the ring set and looking at the 4 pack card backs now and seeing it on there I'm shocked I wasn't crying that I couldn't find it. Valentine and Beefcake being picked over Warrior is an odd one but I can't see the Summer Slam firing being specifically the reason unless he was planned and prototyped and scrapped. Or if Hasbro was literally planning out the set August 1991. His 4 inch figure was released and the outfits of the guys are primarily based on late 1990, early 1991 (except Typhoon)
