Hi! I bumped into a Shockmaster a few months ago under the "SDCC" label. The idea of creating a "first in the line" as an exclusive requiring to be picked up at an event in San Diego seemed anathema to my sensibility. The price wasn't too bad, though I haven't seen one for sale since. 1. How rare are these? 2. Does it seem like more than 500 were produced or less? I couldn't imagine more than a few hundred would have attended the annual SDCC event. I'm not a box collector. I guess I kept it in the box since Shockmaster was kind of a loser and the WCW roster that I do have is so meager anyway (Meng, Kevin Sullivan, and Abdullah the Butcher for those within that appropriate period of time who would converge aesthetically together). So what's the background on this piece? Anything in the dresser is up for sale pretty soon except for the Shockmaster. I just don't know where to keep the boxed one. Thank you  |

I didn’t go to the sdcc and I’ve got 2 of them. They were available online. More than 500 for sure Great! I just didn't want to butcher one if only 300 or so were made 🤣 I mean, sure, if it's someone like Giant Gonzalez, but not the freaking Shockmaster 🤣 I did some background research on him. Apparently he wrestled for a few months to my shock 😲 |

Lanny Poffo, is that you? That's one whom I'd like to get 😜 I would want to first have a customized Beverly Brothers be made. That WASPy tag team from "Shakerheights, Ohio," which is the kind of scene in the 50s where a furniture store owner featuring a TV on window display, would have shooed away a young Vince McMahon recently gotten out of one of his hitchhiking expeditions to go watch Gorgeous George from outside the store, was funny 🤣 |

I couldn't imagine more than a few hundred would have attended the annual SDCC event. SDCC typically pulls in 160,000+ attendees, and these were online too, so it's a relatively safe bet there were at least few thousand. |

These were super easy to get a hold of. They didn’t sell out at SDCC and were made available on Matty Collector afterwards. Inventory on that site lasted several months until they were clearanced out for like $18 with free shipping on Black Friday.

I have this one myself and I could never bring myself to open it. I'm not particularly a MOC collector either, it's just too perfect in the package like that.

On eBay, I searched 'Shockmaster Mattel' and only found one package without the toy. Searching under 'Shockmaster SDCC," nothing. On Mercari, 1 under 'Mattel' in a lot of three, 1 under 'SDCC.' Are there any other sites? |

How much you want for that Harley Race? It's up to you. I don't scalp. It's an easy way to go to Hell next to the s* and murderers. Story here is this. I bought a loose set from theliquidationguy. Then he changed his coordinates from Niagara to Canada where I could no longer see what he was selling. No tracking movement for a few weeks. All the while, he's telling me that he would give me a refund but I should close my request first. Then he'll sell me the MOCs on a discount. It felt like a trap. He promised that it would arrive and that he sent it via "ground parcel." Nothing ever came. It took me a month to get back my money. I gave him positive feedback because I'm nice, and I couldn't prove that he was deceptive. I do not like that seller. Because of that, I made an emergency contingency plan, expecting that theliquidationguy was lying. Nothing ever came. So I bought a Harley Race from a seller in Canada. This is my fault. I didn't read the description. He removed the BAF arms of Commissioner Michaels. Honestly, I almost quit the collection and started to get conspiratorial that Mattel made packages for sellers to steal BAF parts, then use that money to scalp, then buy back from Mattel in wholesale. It was really demoralizing Then I started to look at Mercari. Found a really nice seller. He had the BAF arms. I was going to offer $235 but decided to give him $250 just because that made my life a lot easier. I stood to lose a lot in the investment without the arms. Because of that, the packaged Harley Race that you see does not have the BAF arms. I really don't think I ever removed the Race from the package since I had no real reason to do so. I already had a loose one at hand. I would prefer that we discuss this in private. Please understand that the BAF arms are not inside. I also have an extra Harley Race package from the seller in Canada. I'd imagine that has some value. |

Thanks. I considered getting a Worth Points subscription but for what I was looking for, I didn't think the fee was worth it. I want to say that it's $250 a year. Still might do it. Thanks a lot! |
