I locked my old topic with just the Nancy figures, I know Pat requested I take pics, eventhough he has the figures... so here they are:
Nancy- Four different versions. My favorite version is the color, wavy hair version. Something about it just stands out. The wavy hair versions have better facial sculpts, and just look better. I am shocked I would up with a full quartet... it saves me the hassle though, as now I only miss the 18" Marv, and the Wizard Marv... the 18" one being on its way... pictures and review tomorrow afternoon.
Accessories include a hat, a lasso(with an interchangable hand), and two six-shooter guns... There are a few different ways you can set this figure up, I personally feel the wavy hair versions look better hat-less, while the straight hair versions look better with the hat on.
9/10 for the wavy hair versions
8/10 for the sraight versions
Marv- The best figure of the set, perhaps one of my favorite figures I own. It is bigger, and thicker built than the other figures(except Manute), and just looks menacing. Includes his gun(gladys), a hacksaw, a hatchet, and a gas can. Any accessory you put in the hand looks cool.
10/10 for both versions of Marv.
Hartigan- A little disappointing facially, but wasn't expecting anything dazzling. The color variant looks a little better in my opinion, it picks up more detail in the face for whatever reason. The figure comes with a lead pipe, and a gun.
7.5/10 for the black and white, the color gets an 8/10 from me, it looks sharper.
Yellow Bastard- My favorite character in the movie, probably because I am a Nick Stahl mark... but his figure is really cool. It definately stands out, since its bright freakin' yellow, you should expect as much. Accessories are really cool, a syringe(that actually "works"), a knife, and a whip. The variant on that Yellow Bastard is a facial variant. One version has a straight face, while one has a grinning face.
The grinning face is worth a 9.5, while I only give the straight an 8.0/10
Gail- I wasn't really too fond of this figure, and wasn't really expecting much, but it looks great in person. One of the better facial likenesses of the set. This figure, the color version looks worse than the black and white. The skin tone on the color version looks orange, and makes it look a little weird. Gail comes with an uzi and a working pair of handcuffs.
9/10 for the b/w version, 7.5/10 for the color.
Manute- I don't know what it is about this figure, it just doesn't do it for me... I would have preferred another character, especially since this figure comes off as boring. It has a dull pose, and despite a great likeness to Michael Clarke Duncan, it just still doesn't help. It comes with a pair of interchangable hands(clenched fists), two guns, and his hat.
Both versions of Manute recieve a 6.5/10
