I wanna say he got it like right after Wrestlemania VIII.
I guess the easiest way to find out is to go to the WWE Network and watch the WWF Superstars episodes after Wrestlemania VIII. But I wouldn't be shocked if it was the first or second tapings after Wrestlemania that year.

I wanna say he got it like right after Wrestlemania VIII. I guess the easiest way to find out is to go to the WWE Network and watch the WWF Superstars episodes after Wrestlemania VIII. But I wouldn't be shocked if it was the first or second tapings after Wrestlemania that year. He didnt have it during this June episode We all know how they taped way in advance during these days so I'm gonna stick with either May/June |

Yeah, they were like two months a head for taping back then for the weekend shows.
He could have the tattoo on a house show you watched and then see Superstars or Challenge and HBK doesn't have it because of how far taped back it is from.

Looks like the 1st appearance was Superstars that aired 7/25/92 that was recorded 6/29/92. The previous taping was 6/1/92 and he didn’t have it then, so the answer is June 1992.

I think WWE magazine did a story on wrestler's tattoos. I can only remember them showing all of Shawn's & Steve Austin's. Michaels has a terrible one of his wife that looks like it was done in prison.
