Holy crap, this one freaking hurts. I grew up with Batman the Animated series. For he, he was always MY Batman, and Mark Hamill was MY Joker. He did the role so perfectly. The way he did Bruce Wayne's voice, and Batman's voice differently, but it didn't come off as comical was so good.

One of my favorite Conroy Batman moments. He just made the character so good. I have to say, I think the reason I'm a Batman fan today, even though I'm mainly a Marvel guy, is because of the Animated series and his portrayal of The Dark Knight.

I grew up loving BTAS and him as the voice of Batman and as far as I am concerned keep recasting live action Batman but Conroy is Batman.

Wow... I can't believe it. Kevin Conroy is BATMAN and whenever I think of anything Batman related (that's not live screen) he's what comes to mind. Thank you for being an essential part of my childhood. I don't think there will ever be anyone else who could replace him as Batman. Just can't.

Conroy is definitely the voice in my head, if I read a Batman comic. And I dare say that he did the best portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman, where he made it feel like they were two separate people. Both voices came off natural, not like he was putting one on.

As much as I loved Adam West as Batman. It was Kevin Conroy’s voice I heard in my head when speaking in a Batman voice. Rest In Peace.

What a memorable run. Perfect casting between him and Mark Hamill for Batman and Joker respectively.Iconic voices to say the least

Rest In Peace Kevin Conroy! The definitive voice of The Batman. Whether it was the Animated Series, Justice League, Animated Movies, or the multiple Video Game appearances he always brought it. His throaty, dark delivery was iconic and will sorely be missed.

And man, Mark Hamill's statement is just perfect. Kevin was perfection. He was one of my favorite people on the planet, and I loved him like a brother. He truly cared for the people around him – his decency shone through everything he did. Every time I saw him or spoke with him, my spirits were elevated. . . . Kevin was a brilliant actor. For several generations, he has been the definitive Batman. It was one of those perfect scenarios where they got the exact right guy for the exact right part, and the world was better for it. His rhythms and subtleties, tones and delivery – that all also helped inform my performance. He was the ideal partner – it was such a complementary, creative experience. I couldn’t have done it without him. He will always be my Batman. |

I know it's been a day, but man I can't believe he is gone. What an absolutely amazing voice actor he was for the Batman. Honestly he is THE Batman in any form of media to me. I loved any Batman cartoon and game series he was apart. R.I.P to an absolute legend.
