I’m mostly confused by the people that are actually mad about this. It’s not taking the spot of anyone in the mainline. It’s made to order. They literally are just making it for people that order it. Guys like Eddie and Seth and a Randy and so on should be in the actual series, not an online exclusive. If you don’t want one, just don’t order it.
If you’re an Ultimate completionist, then I can understand, but otherwise why care?

From a business-sense, I see what Mattel is doing.
For Cody Rhodes and now Logan Paul, they offer this exclusive return or debut figure for a premium price knowing people will instantly bite on it. They also know, it will actually be delivered AFTER standard elites of these performers are probably released at retail.
So they get your money (a premium price) early and know you'll cave for the standard elite versions as well (more money) because most collectors (no matter the age) want them in their collections ASAP.
Nothing wrong with it, it's a business. I just notice lol. (Yes, I preordered two Cody's but don't intend on buying Elites because I have self control)

It was inevitable that we would get a Logan figure but such a slap in the face to collectors who have been asking for other talent in the ultimate line. We get X amount of machos, warriors, hogans taking a spot all the time when people been asking for RVD, Seth, Eddie, etc. This line is reserved for the top of the top or special moments and we got a Logan Paul UE before and Eddie …. Don’t get me wrong a Logan figure makes sense and would be perfect for elite. Hes shown that hes taken this serious and to me proved himself somewhat in the ring but cmon a made to order mattel creations spot used for him when theres so many others more deserving This is the thing though, guys such as RVD, Seth, Eddie and everyone else people are asking for are big enough names to justify a mass retail release where Logan Paul isn't. That's why he's getting a Mattel Creations exclusive figure instead of a big name that everyone wants. And to be honest I'd rather see them go this route with Mattel Creations releases. Save them for guys who wouldn't normally get Ultimate treatment. Also for those that may not have watched the video here are a few screenshots of the preliminary packaging.   I agree with you that mattelcreations is a great way to get someone out that wouldn’t necessarily do well at retail. I disagree however that it matters if the person is a big enough name to be in the main line alone. Whether this “takes up a spot” that could be used for someone else is here or there but i’d argue that all those names and others deserve a treatment like this. Just look at that packaging all those other names would look amazing with special packaging like that. Instead it’s being used to push a Logan UE. Logan would sell well in the elite line. But asking 45 and a years wait feels deflated. Everyone else I mentioned would be way more worthwhile |

The packaging looks nice and the figure looks great but almost $50 for a Logan figure is a little hard to justify. Might reconsider towards the end of the window but ill probably pass on this.
