You're probably not going to get a lot of people to agree with you on this, Perfect was a great wrestler - IMO, and he was one of the better IC champions - his run in 1990/91 was tremendous. Add to it, the pairing of him with the Brain, and it was one of the best. I do agree with you that Hogan seemed to do both heel and face the best. When he was the immortal Hulk Hogan, he was the most over guy in the business, and when he was Hollywood Hogan, he was the most despised guy in the business. I would also say that Savage did a great job as both a heel and a face. Of course you would! Personally though I liked him better as a heel.I'm with ya here. You can tell he was having a ball with it. Look no further than this all timer....

Maybe so... but I have a hard time choosing between him as a heel or a face. I really liked his run as the Macho King, but I also enjoyed his two babyface WWF championship runs in 88/89 and 1992. I also really liked his babyface run in WCW as the champion, and his feud against Flair. But he was also great as a heel IC champion and as a heel in the NWO, especially his feud with DDP. Hard to pick which he did better.

Hard to pick which he did better. Maybe just a little. Personally for almost everyone who were great at both I preferred their heel work more.

Ahhh! This second page of this thread is the perfect medicine. It’s what was missing from missing Thanksgiving this year…There’s nothing like family banter to put a smile on a face. 👍🏻

Acts better as heels
HBK his heel swagger in 97/98 was powerful. Perfect Natural Disasters HHH Martel Savage Powers Of Pain Luger Flair Vince Orton Owen Hart Bulldog
Agree on Hogan mastering both. Angle,Undertaker & Rock did too imho
Acts better as faces
Sting Road Warriors Demolition Goldberg Nash Austin in his Stone Cold persona. Both heel turns in 01 were a disaster because they didn't fit.

I agree with these lists, except, I think Bulldog was better as a babyface. He didn't have that edge or talking ability to be a great heel. Also, I'm on the fence about Austin. While I agree that his heel turn in 01 was a terrible choice, I don't think it was because of Austin not being a good heel, I just think people didn't want to boo him, so it didn't work. His heel work in the summer and fall of 1996 was incredible. And, I also liked him as Stunning Steve Austin in WCW. Nash as well. I think he was better as an edgier babyface, not the smiling and kissing babies' good guy they had him as in 1995.

Being a heel allowed him some great character development IMO. On Austin? Yes his heel work was incredible in mid/late 96 but the Stone Cold character was still formative. By 2001 that character was not booing material...& vince proved it...twice 🤣🤣
