I've went pretty hard with the Jakks Pacific buys this year, and as a rule I don't buy Mattels in all honesty because I don't have the room. I seen this Chase in A1 Toys last week and was tempted but I left it. They had a few and thy were in Deflector Cases which sweetened the deal, but I did ultimately leave it. However, I knew I was going over today and said to myself if they were still there I'd buy one. I had money from Christmas and my Birthday and didn't mind spending some of it, and although I don't have a Mattel collection I'm a big Bret Hart fan and I could justify to myself (which is key when it comes to my figure buys, haha). They had a few in cases and they were marked at £34.99, which is what A1 charge for the Chases generally. A1 Toys is a small chain in Glasgow, Scotland and I've been buying figures there for over 20 years. So I got it! Where am I going to put it? Absolutely no idea...   |

Good luck not buying more I've already ordered an Elite 89 Sgt Slaughter but that's the only two I swear. They're gonna be on display on my figure room wall with the signed 8x10's I have of both of them. |

They never charged £35 for chases until recently. I got the WCW Bossman figure earlier this year and I'm sure I paid around £27 for it. No protective case mind you.

Yeah, I got the Nikki Bella Chase a few years ago and I think at the time the regular line was £19.99 and the chase was £24.99. Is what it is. I never mentioned in my original post that when he rang it up it rang at £24.99 but immediately he said "Chases are more" and re rang it up at £29.99 so I guess I saved a fiver so I can't really complain. I did take one up that didn't have the price tag on it, so a win for me I guess. |
