How do you guys go about this? I’ve got a lot of elites, basics, most the superstars Walmart, and a couple ultimates. Not to mention my funkos which shall likely keep boxed. But I’m considering opening them and displaying them in cool poses and whatnot.
Do you guys use shelving or cabinets?

I have some of my figures displayed in a wooden cabinet, and some others displayed in a detolf. I’ve seen very nice shelf collections as well, but dust becomes an issue after a while.

I have a multi level shelf to display mostly older/classic elites. I also have the New Generation arena set up on a table.

Billy bookshelves from IKEA are probably your best bet.

My display looks phenomenal - really proud of it and it's totally tech.
Got my grannies old chest of drawers x 2
I then have full boards of laminate floor planks supported by random things I found lying around. One of then (the highest plank) is resting on an old pc tower I found in the roofspace from the dial up days.
The next plank is resting on a bit of polystyrene from my flatscreen TV packaging
The final plank is resting on two legs from a broken chair and has been cut to make it less deep.
It's all about spending dem dollas yo 😀😃

It comes down to aesthetics vs practicality really. Then space.
I have three long shelves and have risers on each shelf giving me three long rows of figures per shelf. Room for over 300 figures and I love the look, it’s far better for bigger collections than detolfs and units in terms of look and making the most of space as cabinets take up room and don’t hold that many figures.
The problem is dust, having to take them down and dust every few months is a little annoying but worth it, IMO.

From time to time I just place one or two around the house somewhere on some shelf in a pose. Right now I have one on a staircase shelf, one on my bedroom bureau and 4 on my sons bedroom bureau

Nice guys! Very good stuff and ideas. Where can I order the rising tiers to add rows of figs to a shelf?

Target has a great Room Essentials brand 5-shelf bookcase for $37. I have 4 of them all lined up and full of figures. They're pretty easy to assemble but it does take some time to build them. They're on sale quite a bit, too. I got my 4 all at one time when they were on sale for $25 each.
For the risers, Amazon is probably the easiest place to find them but you could also check out Walmart/Target/Bed Bath & Beyond for some spice shelves. You can also search Amazon for "tiered figure display stand" and you'll find something.

I personally prefer the taller shelves that almost go to my ceiling but its just a personal preference. The shorter shelves still hold plenty of figures.

I have a multi-level wooden cabinet with a light set up. It used to belong to the elderly woman that lived in my house before me. She used it to display her teacups, plates and stuff like that. Lately, ive been looking for a simple DIY shelf on Amazon for my Classified figures...otherwise Im going to have to put them away cause im running out of display space.

I have a two large smooth wood glass cabinets I intend to setup.
They have lights but since it’s old the bulbs will get a little hot. The lights are controlled by a house switch.

I will open some this weekend. Considering starting light so to speak. With the basics. They’re cool but I collect them secondarily to the elite brands.

The only thing mine are 5 feet long and 12 inches wide so they get a big space. Also did the same for my WWE Funko Pop Collection. I will post pics tomorrow.

Yea mine were bought at Home Depot as well...I went with the 3ft sections but Im afraid Im starting to regret it lol...I think Im gonna have to buy more and extend up higher which would require moving the wrestling art prints.

Its the only piece Im missing So you can gift it to me?! Thanks! I know you would want me to have it as he was one of the participants in the very first match I can remember watching back in the 70’s.
