Honestly I want this line to be successful because more figures of wrestlers we wanted is a good thing. Though I have some criticisms on that Bundy figure it doesn't mean I don't like it I just think something was off.

@Chair.Shot thank you for the insight. I was thinking it was likely something along those lines but I wasn’t quite sure. Seems like a few on the boards aren’t fans at all so I was just curious to if he had screwed anyone over or was just a shady businessman He definitely delivers his products. They come out later than estimated and later than most of us like but some of that is related to dealing with quality control. He likes it to be known that he doesn’t need your business so if anyone is unhappy about something, he doesn’t seem to care. He will refund people most of the time but there was one specific person on here who tried to do an exchange (damaged product maybe?) and ZST refused and claimed there weren’t any left. He has since put the product up for sale numerous times. That is probably the worst example of anything involving a customer. He is also known to be competitive and sometimes to a fault. There isn’t proof beyond a reasonable doubt but he seems to post news within minutes of other independent retro figure companies. It isn’t the worst strategy but it also feels unnecessary. Also, what are your feelings about Kevin Costner? Truthfully, I enjoy his products including the ones I don’t buy. He makes a lot of smart business decisions and often times before other people even think to do so. If you listen to some of his interviews, you can hear how passionate he is about making these figures and just how hard he works to make his dream a reality. I may not always agree with his design choices but I can appreciate him trying to do things to fit his own vision. He definitely spends more on things that not everyone cares about (soft goods, a former Hasbro artist, advertising, etc.) but he is determined to not compromise when it comes to his own expectations. Well, I sure do appreciate the insight and it’s good to know about the guy and how he operates in the case I ever decide to buy from him I’ll say I was thrown off by the Kevin Costner question but I will answer as I like him.. I have always liked Kevin Costner in movies and shows he’s been in but as far as how he is personally, I’ve read about how he can be difficult to deal with. That said, most actors seem to all have a level of weirdness and difficulty to deal with in some form or fashion so I think there’s got to be a certain level of expectation going in If that’s not the Costner you’re asking about, that’s the only one I know of lol

He does storylines on his social media involving some sort of bromance with Kevin. These often times involve a cardboard cutout…sometimes there is a man in a gorilla costume playing another character. It’s…something. To Zombie’s credit, he has had personal video messages from the real Kevin as well as tweets congratulating him on the success of his company. It’s mostly ZST having fun but it seems like very few people get it. I am not one of those people but I do enjoy seeing people react to it.

I wonder if the folks that won't buy these because they dislike the guy making them (Zombie) would like the corporate billionaires at Jazwares and Mattel 🤔

I'm confused is the maker a bad guy or something ? No clue, I only collect 6-7" scale, so I'm new here. I just see posts all the time talking crap about him. There's one on the Mattel forum right now I believe

Looks like Zombie is branching out and doing 6” figures starting with Double J and 3 others TBA. Hopefully 6” is him misusing the term and these are 6.5-7” scale like Mattel. I'm with you and I assume 6" is just the generic term. Any company making figures, especially Legends, that don't know scale with Mattel has to know that'd be a death sentence. I just watched the new interview with Sam Roberts and he says they're closer to 7" scale. Sam compares the Pillman to a Jazwares Punk in the video.

Not that I want to defend Zombie because I do feel his responses were immature and unprofessional but they weren’t completely unwarranted. I remember it being over the international distribution of the first series of his Hasbro line. Being an upstart business he hadn’t quite figured out how to distribute outside of the US and initially was only offering the toys domestically. We all know how reasonable a lot of our international members can be when they feel excluded from a US product (sarcasm). So his comments on these boards, while crossing the line, were in response to being attacked. Always a pleasure to read comments like this about our international members. 😘

If Steve or Bill came him here being rude to people I’m sure it would turn them off to the Mattel product. Same goes for what’s his face from Jazwares. If people wouldn’t be supporting a product because corporate billionaires they wouldn’t be watching wrestling in the first place probably. When you are personally running a business without big corporate backing, you need to have customer service. That’s pretty common knowledge. I’d personally buy from him regardless, if he actually made anything I’d want that bad.

Why would anyone who felt excluded from something they wanted to buy act reasonably about it? What's unreasonable behaviour in that instance, anyway? Firing a missile across the ocean might be considered unreasonable, simply complaining would be pretty reasonable.

I really want to buy the JJ and Bundy, but I worry the price is going to astronomical in comparison to the mass retail lines I usually buy. I understand the prices come with the territory but it’s so hard to justify it personally when you’re not used to it.
(Not a complaint, just my thoughts currently)

Firing a missile across the ocean might be considered unreasonable, simply complaining would be pretty reasonable. Because not everything is a personal attack. It was an upstart small business where he still hadn’t quite figured out how to distribute internationally and from day one said he was going to try and make his figures available to international customers (which he eventually did) but that wasn’t good enough. Go back and read some of the comments made towards him if they haven’t been deleted and tell me how reasonable some were being.

I wonder if the folks that won't buy these because they dislike the guy making them (Zombie) would like the corporate billionaires at Jazwares and Mattel 🤔 At least when people complained at the obscene price of the nitro arena nobody at mattel came on here and started telling everyone they’re poor if they don’t buy it Nor has anyone at mattel asked for additional money after the transaction has completed
