Interestingly the good brothers have been cancelled, effectively the message was not enough orders to warrant the production (or at least that’s how I read it)
Here’s the message from the MWFPod account: “we reviewed the production requirements and minimums with our factory, it's been decided that production of these figures will not be able to move forward.”
Is this a reflection on previous super 7 wrestling figures which got some negative comments?
The fact there’s so much product out across the board?
People just don’t want ultimates of these guys?
The figure bubble being pierced if not fully bursting?
I know people have said they have a few thing waiting from super 7, has that adversely affected them?

I have nothing good to say about super 7 as my only experience with them is wrestlers and they sucked. Their quality control and customer service sucks too.

I don’t think people ordered based on several factors. Disappointment in the last Good Brothers they did. The fact that these guys aren’t really top tier talent. Their elites are still pretty easy to get and probably just as good as S7 quality. Their prices are too high with long wait times.

I think all the reasons Andy listed attributed to these not happening. Less excitement for them as wrestlers, Super7 has earned a somewhat negative reputation which is pretty justifiable in my opinion, and they went to the well one too many times. The first Super7 figures of Gallows and Anderson were fine from a design standpoint but I’m not sure how many people were clamoring for a second set. It’s too bad; this gear looked more appealing and would have potentially sold better internationally.

Super7 (and MWFP by extension) has shot themselves in the foot with the way they've promoted the second round of figures (Matt, Brian and the Good Bros) - everything I've seen has essentially pitched them around the idea that they've "fixed the flaws from the first ones".
Whilst that's good, it doesn't exactly inspire consumer confidence - are we to expect flaws on the second iteration which then might get fixed in the third? So on and so forth.
You shouldn't be fixing flaws on "Ultimates" by releasing new ones. They're meant to be definitive editions, not constant works in progress.

Nobody is knocking down doors for $49.99 figures of those bald, boring buffoons and they will be getting new Elites soon anyway.

Soon as I seen it earlier, my immediate thought was who is really caring enough about these two guys right now to buy another £100 set of two, when they're back in WWE and you can only assume £20 Elites will come out sooner rather than later. Given the reaction to the original two, which was less than favourable mostly, not to knock on Super 7 but I can't imagine people were queuing up to hand them money for two more.

Yeah, the fact they’re a team so really you need both so it’s £100 for figs which are really re-dos of previously flawed figs. If it was a stand alone wrestler maybe you could see someone going$49 but the fact you have to double it because who’s displaying a doc without Anderson of vice versa

Super7 have made some great lines lately, but I see this as a wonderful example of how small/niche the wrestling figure market is in the wider scale of action figures
2 wrestlers with minimal brand value can't garner enough buyers to warrant manufacturing such high-end priced figures
Super7 have enjoyed the Covid boom period of collectors throwing their disposable cash at high-priced figures but are we now seeing the decline of that market, especially in such a niche genre as wrestling figures? sure a "bigger" name like Omega might garner enough buys, but Anderson and Gallows are hardly on the top 25 of most collectors "Need" lists

The NJPW line could’ve been great if they chose the right people, any Bullet Club figure would’ve been a must have, they could’ve gotten Japanese legends in the line like Great Muta, Kobashi and Misawa People aren’t buying Gallows, Anderson, EVIL, Bushi figures. I love NJPW and didn’t buy all of them

Its pretty telling that just about every Ultimate at the $55 price point has been marked down within a few weeks of release, other than Thundercats wave 5 for some reason. I wonder if those $75 Matt & Brian figures are going to be next to get axed. Wouldn't be surprised at all.

Gallows responded with "Yeaaaaaa…..😂 No extenuating circumstances at all 🍻" so maybe WWE shut em down?

It's honestly surprised me how well many companies without major licenses have done. But I think there's still a lot of questions. We've seen companies like Super 7 and Boss Fight really fall off after a couple of waves, presumably because sales totals weren't great. Will the same happen to ZST, Chella, PowerTown, etc? We have an awesome collecting community. But I think it's easy to forget that we're pretty niche compared to things like Star Wars, comic book characters, GI Joe, etc.

It seems like it was being insinuated that WWE put a stop to them. I don't think the demand was high for these, but Brian from S7 has said in the past that the order numbers don't have to be very high for them to mass produce their runs. Like 500 orders would probably be the minimum needed on these if I were to guess, and I think they sold at least that many.
I agree the first figures were bad, and they're too expensive, and the Good Brothers popularity is kind of at an all time low, but I do think WWE shutting these down seems more likely than just not filling the orders, which Super7 would have known right away when the order window closed. Ringside and Big Bad probably covered the minimum with their orders alone.
I bought the Myers for $20 during the Cyber sales. I think it's a good figure, but I like the New Japan figures as well, at least more than most. It's definitely not S7's best stuff, because TMNT and Thundercats are both some of the best toys on the market, but I thought they were good in terms of accessories and overall look. Glad we got Okada/Tana/Naito, personally. I think I'd grab that second Cardona if it comes down to $40 or so just so I have both Major guys. Would love for them to do more characters that other companies aren't making, or to outright do more New Japan guys.

While I doubt demand for these was high, it seems more likey to me that their signing with WWE is the bigger factor in these getting shut down.

Yikes, hot on the heels of this have you seen andre?
Ouch. The upper torso seems to be a different colour, did andre just tan his chest snd nothing else? The Face is not there.
I like the idea of super 7, their tag line of “nobody made what we wanted so we made it ourselves” (in paraphrasing that but there’s a statement similar on their site) and they had tons of great licenses but they’ve stopped the ball a bit lately
I get it’s hard not being able to get out to the factories to QC / oversee things post covid but man imo something needs to be done to get the quality back up

I don't buy the "WWE shut them down" thing whatsoever. There's no recent evidence of it - in fact, there's a mountain to the contrary.
There are other guys WWE signed/re-signed that have figures in production with other manufacturers and being allowed to release - Gargano, Jonah and Kross to name three.
Cody having AEW figures released after he'd left is another example. Let alone the vast number of reverse examples, where WWE has released figures of talent who've gone elsewhere.
If merch deals have been signed, companies are generally being allowed to see them out.
