Does anyone know what happened to wave 3 of NJPW Ultimates? Back in 2021, both Super 7 founder Bryan Flynn and marketing manager Yoko McCann both spoke about the third wave coming. It's been almost 2 years and I have heard no news. I'm thankful we recently got Minoru, but did Super 7 drop the ball here? Any news or rumors are appreciated.

I think njpw canceled its deal after low sales.

Super 7 announced Jay White was coming in wave 3. Nothing ever came of the 3rd wave, rumors were they were going to do the guys as independent wrestlers and 3 out the 4 were receptive to the idea. I think Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Hirooki Goto were in the wave. They might still be working on deals with some of these guys, to get them out. There was an interview with Brian Flynn from June of last year. Everytime they announce new Ultimates or lines nothing yet. Hopefully we get some news from them this year. They said NJPW was very hands on but caused many of the delays, plus they were in the heart of covid factory shutdowns.

After seeing the quality of the new Andre figure today, it looks like they’ve given up on their wrestling line, I expect the Cardona/Myers figures to be the last
