Anyone else feel like 17 is the weakest set yet and 18 is the best set yet?

Anyone else feel like 17 is the weakest set yet and 18 is the best set yet? I feel like it’s all opinion. Only the 2nd elite Shamrock is a strong choice, essentially a TNA Aj Styles is another great choice. Dingo Warrior although niche is something I have seen people want. Only one you could argue wasn’t needed is a 4th 1992-1994 HBK.

But yea 18 is one of the stronger lineups of everything feeling absolutely needed since the early lineups.

I’d like to see an upgraded HOC Paul Bearer with the fatter torso in the legends series.

I’d like to see an upgraded HOC Paul Bearer with the fatter torso in the legends series. This. The ratio between takers and Paul's made is pretty abysmal.

We’ve only had the BAF and the HOC, I think? And if I remember right, the BAF didn’t even make it to the US. I got it from someone in the UK

I got it from someone in the UK Yeah only 2 I'm aware of. And I only have the HOC because I wasn't collecting when the BAF came out. I mean, we also need a ginger Paul for Kane too 😂

I got it from someone in the UK There were two BAF, because I got one overseas that was a TRU exclusive with the Kofi in the Adam West Batman tribute attire, Sandow, DB and Dolph. But a year or two later there was a BAF set at Walmart that had Jericho in his RR ‘00 attire, Taker, Neville and Rusev.

Boy Paul Bearer has just gotten screwed, that was another end of the line hardly hit stores release too.

Anyone else feel like 17 is the weakest set yet and 18 is the best set yet? I think it’s relative. WCW Hogan is a good choice to anchor a wave. After that a lot of it comes down to niche preference. That version of Paul E plus Headshrinkers with the chase SST are awesome in an “I love they made them” kind of way, but I personally don’t feel the biggest draw to buying them. (Also, 6-7 months from now, they’ll likely be a slew of complaints on here about how they’re warming hard, but that’s another argument) On the other hand, I think E17 is great outside of Dingo Warrior (who will probably move well anyway). AJ will likely warm admittedly, but I love having what is essentially a sneak TNA AJ in the line and I love that era of his work. Shamrock was never a big favorite of mine, but an updated version was needed (still weird blue is the chase), and as for HBK, frankly I find the whining about “another” HBK from this period eyeroll-inducing. It’s a different attire, and the other 2 that are remotely similar were an RSC exclusive from almost a decade ago and a hard to find Wal Mart figure from near 5 years ago.

Anyone else feel like 17 is the weakest set yet and 18 is the best set yet? 17 I guess feels weak because the figures seem to be pretty basic and the only real accessories are a warrior head that isn't really popular from the looks of it, the IC belt on Shamrock and the T-shirt AJ comes with, while 18 is basically loaded with accessories. I think it's still between series 12 and series 8 for me with the newer legends sets. Really like all the figures in those sets and they come with some great stuff too. I also thought series 9 was quietly good while maybe not as great as those other two sets.
