I'm so pissed off. I really am. I have such a huge Star Wars collection from when I was a kid. Literally every character.
Now they are FINALLY putting out Star Wars figures with elbow and knee joints and I see them in stores and I want to re-buy everything because I feel like my old figures suck now.
WHY did they wait so long to make these figures with elbow and knee joints?!?!?!?!
Weeeellllp, there goes all my money. Between that and WWE and bills.....I'm broke, lol.

I had a massive collection with every figure released from 1995-2007. I finally just had to give up. I sold off some of the more valuable parts of the collection, and kept a few things (like the old Burger King glasses from the 80's and statues). I boxed up most of the figures and vehicles in what took about 10 large UHAUL boxes. I stored them in my grandfather's basement for a few years until he died last year. My grandfather had a mexican neighbor who used to help him around the house often, and he has 5 kids. I ended up giving (yes, giving) all 10 boxes to his kids as thanks, because honestly, even though it was thousands of dollars of stuff, I would have been lucky to get a few hundred. And watching them go through those boxes like it was christmas was awesome. And maybe they will be Star Wars fans now, who knows. I always look at the new figures, and they look awesome, but I can't bring myself to buy them. However, I have a few of the gentle giant statues, and I REALLY want to buy a few of the sideshow collectibles statues which are incredible. Granted, they are expensive, but honestly, buying a couple of expensive statues every year is a lot cheaper than buying every $6 SW figure that comes out all year.

That was a big difference in me playing with my GI JOE over SW. I could pose them. They still make swivel elbows on some figures. Thats eally bad considering the POA that the GI JOE figures have,

My Toys R Us is having a sale on Star Wars figures. I went today and all of the single figures were buy 2 get the 3rd free.
I bought R2-D2 that you press the button and he makes noise, Chewbacca, and I got a Clone Trooper for free. The figures were priced at $9.99 and I paid $21.60 total after the promotion took off the cost of the 3rd figure.
I'm not sure of the series I bought the figures from but the package had Darth Maul in the upper right hand corner and each figure came with some sort of game card and dice piece with symbols on it.
R2-D2 is my favorite of the 3 that I got today.
They had boxes of 3 figures and it was C3P0, Chewbacca and Han Solo but the figures had swivel elbows instead of elbow joints, so I got the single Chewbacca instead of the box set, and the box set was 29.99 I think. So I got 3 figures for $21.60 instead of $29.99+tax.
I do want a Han Solo, but I'll wait until I find one with elbow joints instead of the swivel elbows.

You're preaching to the choir, bro. I had an enormous collection of the 3 3/4 inch figs as a kid. Over the last 6 months or so, I've had to fight off an ever-increasing urge to start a new collection after seeing the new attention to detail that scale of figs has now. I have a feeling that I'm going to lose this battle, despite the fact that I had no idea where I could possibly display another figure collection.

Went to Wal-Mart today and I decided to get some of the new figures. I haven't bought many of the new ones...last time I did was shortly after ROTS was in theaters and I picked up Grevious, Yoda, Anakin, Kenobi, Palpatine, Vader and Windu.
Picked up Vintage Collection Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan (TPM), Darth Sidious and the new "Movie Heroes" Darth Maul. I've always hated the figures with stupid actions like "Spinning Lightsaber Darth Maul" but I haven't bought a Maul since Phantom Menace's toyline. I hate that Maul is constantly in a crouched stance but whatever. I'll post some pictures later.

I am really diappointed with this figure.1 Arm is like an 80's arm and the other only rotares. I picked this up and thought what a great find and its bad. At least I got some accs with him.

With Star Wars figures, I find it best to find a review on Youtube before buying. I was looking into that set but saw the Darth Maul wasn't very articulated so I ended up buying the Vintage Collection version which is much much better.

Anyone else getting pumped up about TPM coming out tomorrow? I've been picking up all of the figures from this film's Vintage Collection due to my excitement. I've also been looking for the cereal boxes that contain the character pens. I know the film wasn't the masterpiece everyone was expecting, but the hype I'm seeing in the stores and places really brings me back to 1999.
