After the constant personal shots at HHH while Cody was in AEW, did anyone think Hunter was going to give him his big moment at Mania? Best for business blah blah blah. That hasn't exactly always been HHH's MO. I wouldn't be surprised.

All teasing aside, can we all at least collectively appreciate the performance he had? What a match. What an entrance. What a way he carried himself throughout the event. What a stand up thing to do giving his belt away to Brodie's kid. It had a big fight feel to the atmosphere. They did great not touching each other (pause) throughout the build up and the payoff was immense. I was personally unable to appreciate the Sami/Roman match when it finished because I hated the ending. Even though I knew it had to happen there was that small part of me, the kid in me that was wondering "what if he wins though" due to all the suddenness of his popularity and face turn. Looking back it was fantastic. While I know Sami's run is not the same as winning the rumble, punching your ticket and being the favorite to win, I hope Rhode's fans can still appreciate the showing he had. Maybe it's easier to see as a neutral party but the match was 5 stars for me, at least before all the shenanigans. Only match that came close was the IC title triple threat imo.
Night one was the stronger night not only in terms of action but match results as a whole. I woulda preferred Cody, Asuka and Balor to have won their respective matches on the second night but that's okay. Only big change I would make to the first night is putting Dom over Rey but again that's just personal preference and majority of the matches for both nights were still stellar. Sad to see Miz be in two of the worst matches on one PPV but way she goes ig. If I had to I'd rank all the matches in the following fashion;
Stinkers (c)Theory vs Cena Women's 4 Way Tag McAfee vs Miz Snoop Dogg vs Miz
Solid Showing Lesnar vs Omos Dominik vs Rey Lynch, Lita & Stratus vs Bayley, Sky & Kai (c)Belair vs Asuka Edge vs Balor
Greatly Exceeded Expectations (c)Flair vs Ripley (c)Usos vs Owens & Zayn (c)Gunther vs McIntyre vs Sheamus Rollins vs Paul Men's 4 Way Tag (c)Reigns vs Rhodes

Can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
The undeniable was denied by the Tribal Chief!… but now it’s time to start the slow burn of Cody winning the championship(s)

The atmosphere was insane and regardless how the crowd was during entrances or at the start, 90% or more were cheering for Cody at the end. That’s also how a lot of his later AEW reactions played out too but no one hardly ever wants to admit that. Great match. Hated the finish. I’ll always hate it. I’ll see how it all plays out and hopefully Cody eventually wins the top prize but imo, there will never be a better moment or atmosphere than last night.

WM39 was the highest grossing event in WWE history! Well deserved.

Without a doubt one of the best WrestleMania’s I’ve ever seen, both nights delivered! 👏🏽

Same thing happened to Sami. Turns on the Bloodline. Big championship match in Montreal. It had all the makings of a true underdog story. And we were trolled.
Sami winning the Tag belts at ‘mania was just bitter sweet. It was not a resolution, it was a demotion.
Sami and KO. Lifelong friends has been played out. KO is this generations Big Show with the amount of Heel/Face turns. I have no emotional connection to them being a tag team and I’m simply waiting for the turn.
If Cody does get a chance to win the title it won’t have the same impact than it would have at ‘mania. The momentum has stalled.

Apparently Edge vs Balor was meant to go another 5-10 mins. Really bad stuff.... I think the match was good tbh but most people wanted Balor to win. I didn’t mind Edge winning but I wanted it to be longer.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm glad the Demon lost. I've always thought the gimmick was stupid.

Overall one of the best WMs ever for me, both nights were great! I gotta rewatch both nights soon.

The thing that I hate, is that we live in a world where there's never a legitimate conclusion to anything. Wrestlemania used to be about finality, and the end of the previous years booking. We live in the content era now, where no big franchise ever really pays off a massive story and walks away. Everything is dragged out until it dies with a whimper. Agreed, that's a huge complaint of mine. WM should be where you actually have 2 competitors with a clean finish. Reigns will probably never lose clean ever for the rest of his career and it does nothing for anyone. This main event didn't help anything.

I think the match was good tbh but most people wanted Balor to win. I didn’t mind Edge winning but I wanted it to be longer. It was motoring along just fine until the intervention for blood. That took me out of the Match completely. The stomp off the cell should have finished it & led to a Balor win. JD is a jobber outfit now.

Reigns vs Rhodes was an amazing main event & the crowd loved it despite the ending, if Rhodes had won then that match would easily go down as an all time great.
I’d personally still put it up there with one of the best main events in WM history but just imagine if Rhodes won... the pop would have been insane.

so are we thinking Cody wins MITB and cashes in on Reigns or maybe Rollins? or how does he get back in the title picture?

Hellacious structure....no mercy....career ender....one on one until its settled...Edge wants to kill Balor blah blah blah Until you get cut. Absolute bull. Edge keeping himself busy & his desire for revenge going on hiatus had to have taken everyone out of this... & Cole & that f#ckin clown Graves harping on about it & how it was right was nonsense. Honestly if this is what has to happen? They shouldn't use the cell or have a concrete booking contingency to deal with hardway cuts...which they had here because Finns in a faction.

Undertaker pissing blood vs lesnar made that cell match a classic, i understand why they stop it today, times have changed i get it but i firmly believe if you can never ever have blood in a cell match anymore you might as well retire the gimmick.

That's it. I get why it has to happen too but they need to do better than that sh#t Sunday. Have Priest under the ring or something
