Unbelievable! He seemed like he was in great health and judging by his Facebook, he was out yesterday and posting photos of what he was doing.
R.I.P. Lanny, we will miss you!
Does anyone know what happened?? How he passed??

I always found it so unique that once he grew his hair long like that and grew a beard, he instantly looked like Randy Savage to the point where you knew they could be brothers.
That perm curly hair and moustache look he had in the early 80s in the WWF, you would never know they were brothers ha ha ha

RIP Met him at a house show in the 80s and got a frisbee signed. Had that hanging on my wall for years. Also first guy I ever saw doing versions of moonsaults and sentons.

Very sad news. RIP Lanny. I know him best as The Genius and I'm not really familiar with his matches, except against Brutus Beefcake at RR90. Can anyone recommend a few to check out?

Back in ‘87 I caught a frisbee at a house show. During intermission Lanny was signing things in the lobby near the merch. I got the frisbee signed. Over the years the sig smudged off somewhat, it was still mostly readable but still,…
At WrestleCon 2017, I had him sign the same frisbee again. He got to see his old sig and signed again right above it.
RIP Leaping Lanny.

This is pretty surprising. He seemed in good health over the last few years. He was the keeper of the family legacy and loved doing so. With him being Macho's brother he seemed to get some good things from WWF and WCW (a long term career/a huge contract for sitting at home) but I think on screen he also deserved better. He should have gotten a spot on a PPV before a Scott Casey and he should have been kept on TV as a character post Mr. Perfect going to Bobby Heenan. I guess WWF may not have wanted to keep him on so much so fans didn't see the resemblance. He does deserve better than being seen solely as Macho's brother. The love he had for his family is pretty much unlike any other.
