When I was on vacation a few weeks back I stopped at Walmart whenever I could to see what they had in stock and every one of them had the Wrestlemania shipper full of RA, Elites, and Greatest Hits figures, but when I got home and checked Walmart there, my local Walmarts didn't even have the shipper...

I saw the "sidecap" display at a Walmart in Wisconsin this weekend- plenty of Cena and Nash (bought a Nash, need to remember to cancel my preorder), zero Sheltons. Is Shelton short-packed in this wave?

Is Shelton short-packed in this wave? I don't know about short-packed, but these displays don't hold a lot of figures.... maybe 16 per shipper? All it takes is one of these "collectors" to buy 3-4 Sheltons and your Walmart is wiped out (we've all seen these photos on our feeds)..... and don't expect them to get more in. |

The cancellation of the preorders about a month or so back was baffling enough, but the in-store distribution of this set is atrocious. Is anyone still finding this set?
I watch toy hunters on Youtube and I never see any RA Elites in any of these stores.
I have seen the new Austin and Undertaker pop up on online listings which confuses me even further. The prices for Nash and Shelton, I thought, would have dropped to $30-35 by now, but that doesn't seem likely anymore.

In one of the Q&A videos (when Steve was promoting Nitro stage crowdfunding), Steve mentioned that he thinks he knows what happened with the preorders being cancelled, but didn't elaborate. I'm guessing (pure speculation on my part) that there was some type of internal system error. For example, Walmart or Mattel (probably Walmart though) listed the series as discontinued internally in their system so they didn't/couldn't order additional product. I doubt we will see more of Series 3, which seemed to have a limited run like the Harley Race flashback series. Series 4, 5, and 6 will probably trickle in on eBay from international retailers carrying it, Paul, or the Mattel store (which sold RA3). Maybe they will end up on RSC and other online retailers at higher prices like the last couple of series of MOTWWEU. If not, we'll see them in the greatest (unreleased) hits line in 2025/2026. |

I think their idea of a solution a few months ago was to have some shippers sent out to certain Walmarts with maybe 2 of each RA figure on them, and some of the Greatest Hits line, so I've little confidence. |

I believe he said that regarding the Monday Night Wars line. I don't think he was talking about the RA line and he has been pretty silent regarding any updates. IIRC he said he was "hoping" that the issues would be resolved (for MNW). Key word is hoping. They'll probably start out okay with the line at first, but we all know Walmart is gonna Walmart eventually. |

My Walmart seems to get a good batch of figures about once per year. This year's already came and went when they had new Elites and Greatest Hits Series 1. I saw RA figs at some point (Series 1), but I think it was before that. Since then it's back to a bunch of old Elites no one wants just sitting on the shelves and hanging on the pegs.

I had a pretty good run at my local Walmart for a while and was able to pick up two each of Backlund, Sherri, even Gorilla Monsoon. Those golden days are long gone and now it's nothing but unwanted and outdated Basics and dozens of Flairs and Warriors from the Superstar line. Just awful.
