I'm not gonna do a whole list, but in 2003, I'd basically fallen out of keeping up with wrestling. It was school vacation week my senior year of high school, and my dad got pissed that I was just sitting around the house, so I went looking for something to do. Found out Raw was in Boston, found a buddy who was still keeping up, and we headed into town for the night with a pair of tickets we got at the Filene's Ticketmaster counter for like $25 each.
It was a decent episode - I didn't know a lot of the newer names, but Evolution was holding it down, and I got to see some wild stuff like Kane & RVD vs. Triple H and Ric Flair.
The main event was - and I couldn't make this up if I tried - Eric Bischoff vs. Trish Stratus. If Trish won, she got a shot at Jazz's WWE Women's Championship. If Bischoff won, Trish had to spend the night with him.
2003, baby!
Of course, Bischoff used all the heel tactics and defeated Trish with the help of Jazz, but then his celebration was interrupted by Linda McMahon. The board was upset with Bischoff, and disappointed with his performance as Raw GM, and had authorized her to appoint a co-GM to keep him in line.
Glass Shatters.
Of all the random ass things I could've picked to do that night, I went to a Raw after having been out of it for 2 years. I only knew that Stone Cold was done...and I walk into a chance Stone Cold return.
I've been to a handful of SmackDowns since, but that's the only Raw I've been to, and I'm gonna remember it for the rest of my life.
EDIT: here's the clip. Haha...I never get tired of rewatching this.
