Ever since I heard about the strategy of using anchor figures, I’ve been thinking of what figure combinations we could realistically get, and how to best place the anchors. What do you folks think we could see? I’m thinking:
Realistically:
Piper/Orton
Ricky Steamboat/George Steele
Bret Hart/Jim Neidhart
Sheik/Volkoff
Andre/Big John Studd
Savage/Tito Santana (I don’t see Elizabeth getting a UE)
Ultimate Warrior/Honky Tonk Man
Ones I would like to see, but probably won’t happen:
Hillbilly Jim/King Kong Bundy
JYD/King Harley Race
Beefcake/Valentine
Bam Bam Bigelow/One Man Gang
Red shirt Hogan/Paul Orndorff
What say you guys?

Oh I think Elizabeth with a nice gown would be a fantastic pairing with Savage!
The attire on the original LJN Elizabeth looks horrid, but I think they could creatively translate the same colors into a more authentic Elizabeth gown to pair nicely with Savage (who would be the anchor of the pair).....
Andre/Heenan would also be a good pairing, I think...
And I secretly hope for a Big Boss Man w/Slick.....
And maybe Honky Tonk Man w/Jimmy Hart....

Short hair Andre and Million Dollar Man would be a Top choice for me, and if they were going to go with long hair Andre then maybe with the OG yellow tights Hulk Hogan. I wouldn't mind Andre and Studd, but we just got that Studd as an Elite in the Legends line not too long ago. I'd also love to see them do Savage and Steamboat together with Steamboat in his red pants, maybe even as a chase if they start doing that.

Agreed, the big sell for liz over say Luna if she was ever signed or even sherri is the combination with macho. Sure Sherri was with big stars like Shawn, dibiase and macho but those stars snd not inextricably linked like liz snd macho are. Think of all machos biggest highlights and Liz is there: mega powers, mania 4 etc |

Liz with both of the previous heads, a new head with a smile, a gold skirt, a purple skirt and alternate hands would be a suitable Ultimate. Packaged with an updated pink/yellow Macho Man would be the only way I see it happening.

Not likely but would like to see pairings like the original LJN 2 packs that came with recolored versions of the big green belt.

I did not have LJNs as a kid, so I'm not super familiar with them so excuse my ignorance...I do have the Hogan/Funk CC and will 100% be getting the Jake/Rude set as well, and I'm a sucker for ultimates so I'll probably buy just about anyone I'm remotely interested in from this line
Correct me if I'm wrong, the idea with the CC is to fairly closely mimic the look/attires as the wrestlers wore for the LJN figures...
Warrior/Honky Tonk Man would be epic for me, but would we be expecting to see their attire from the LJNs? Or what they wore when they squared off?
