I get Jakks couldn't release them in time before Mattel got rights (according to Mosh on a Major podcast).
But I don't remember any huge issues between them and WWE. WWE even had em as guests awhile back.
No one else is making them, so doesn't seem to be rights issues?
Not in AEW.
Unless they just don't want them made (which seems unlikely, since by Mosh's interview, he likes merch like figures), I'm not sure why we haven't got them yet? They were a bigger deal than some of those people that have been released - some of whom were on bad terms with WWE at one time.
Did something happen I don't know about or is it weird to others too?

I remember them returning back to wwe in like 2016 too Either they didnt stick around long enough then to get figures or they were only on pay-per-appearance deals.

My guess is that it's easier to get away with putting out lower-tier characters when you're only releasing a single. With the Headbangers, you have to release them both, and Mosh and Thrasher look very similar.
You can't make Mosh but not Thrasher and vice versa. Maybe Mattel doesn't want to commit to that?
Who knows, if the SSTs/Headshrinkers do well, it could open the door to more teams like the Headbangers.

Maybe they don’t want to sign legends contracts.

Are they still active? If so, then probably don’t want to be under the restrictions of a legends contract.

They need Elites as soon as possible IMO.
Long overdue in the line.

I need them, the Godwins, and Skull and 8-Ball. Would love an LOD 2000, too. Wouldn’t say no to the New Blackjacks, either. Basically all the early BCA Tag Teams/2 Tuff series.

Id get them 100% because they were tag champs. Id also like to see them because it would mean we might see more teams.

Maybe they don’t want to sign legends contracts. That seems like a logical answer

I think they’re in a weird spot of being not a big enough team to sign to a merchandise agreement, and neither party being big enough by themselves to warrant it. Looking back over the line, there aren’t many “tag team only” legends figures - there’s LOD, who are one of the biggest tag teams of all time. Bushwhackers, Demolition, Brainbusters, Nasty Boys, I can’t think of many others. And I’m not sure all of those are/were on WWE legends contracts, some of them may have been part of the unprofitable practise where Mattel was signing people directly.
For the most part, tag team figures are made when one member of the team is a big name already signed, eg Shawn Michaels, Rikishi, Bret Hart, Booker T.

Pretty sure they’re still just active and making money and unless you’re a high profile star, those Legends deals seem to not pay out much. Given their relationship with the Major guys, I expect them as Bend-ems any day now. Which also means the likelihood of them getting figures from Zombie/FC/PowerTown soon is really high.
Would love them. Their BCAs were some of the first figures I went back and got when I put together that shelf. So I’m hopeful for 6” figures of them. Just a memorable team from what I consider to be probably the best year in wrestling history in 97.

I think they're signed with one of the several companies making retros, so I suppose that's a start. Next step will probably be Zombie or someone adding them to their Elite-scale lines.

This photo still floats out there. The Thrasher head looks maybe a little generic or like the late CS Stone Cold head but something about it is unique. The Mosh scan looks just like him. I don't think these could be customs. I remembered that these were a rumored CS 2-pack but were scrapped in 2009 when the CS line was on its last legs and every figure was replaced with a repaint. Pretty sure the HHH/X-pac in track coats replaced this set. I also remember we were supposed to get a CS 2-pack Edge & Christian but never did.

I spent a day with them in 2020, at our last indy show before COVID closed everything down. I drove them to the show. They pretty much have moved on to life after wrestling, but still take some indy deals from time to time, for fun and extra cash... I guess I should have asked them about action figures! Here is a promotional photo I took that day! They are both pretty cool guys!

They literally made Los Matadores elites and the only way to tell them apart was one was slightly taller….
