I didn't think too much of the game but the series is great. I'm just not sold on the two main casting choices. Pedro and Bella both look like cosplayers. I see season two has been confirmed and if its going to be based off the second game then they're going to have to ramp up Ellie's aggression. Shes still too cute and almost happy going which doesn't suit the world around her. Maybe that'll change in episode seven where she has to fend for herself while Joel is out of action.
One thing I really like is that it does feel like a video game at some parts. Like in the first episode when Joel is escaping down an alley and a vehicle blows up and blocks him in so he has to find another way out.
I didn't plan on getting the PS5 remaster since I had already played it on PS3 and PS4 but this show is making me want to.

I gotta disagree about the casting,I love both but like I said never had any attachment to the game. So I might feel different if I did. Honestly? It hasn’t really grabbed me like I thought it would. I absolutely loved the Nick Offerman episode but everything else has just been alright. Granted I’m an episode behind and I didn’t play the game but it feels like each episode has been “Hey here is a new person and this is what they are doing in this world and oops they’re dead. Nevermind.” It just feels like they are rushing. Didn’t spend enough time with Tess is care. The Henry and Sam thing was sad but really didn’t get much time with them at all. I just keep hoping a new episode makes me love it because I love HBO and I love the cast and so far it’s just been “Well at least Nick Offerman killed it.”

I think that's just to honor the games,those same people didn't last a long time there either. I like them changing up some things from the game tho,to keep everybody on their toes. So I wouldn't have mind seeing Henry spent more time on the show and then the grief could've gotten the best of him and got the same result. The Walking Dead went off script when they thought it would make the show better and I think the third episode spending that much time with Bill and Frank did exactly that.

Incredible show. I’m a huge fan of both games and seeing this show paying homage to the games while giving more backstory has been amazing

I’m biased since I’m a huge fan of the series but if you have the time to dive into it and take your time the story between both games is fantastic |

I think its only 2 or 3 more episodes,so if you would want to start the month now. You could catch up and still watch the remaining couple when they go up.
Another great episode last night,didnt know going in how much I would like this one but it delivered just like the others.

Love the first game, playing the second currently and enjoying it.

Great episode. Hard to believe there’s only one more. It doesn’t help that two episodes were wasted on minor characters.

The finale is gonna be so good. This show is legit the best show I’ve watched in a long time. I love how faithful to the games it’s been while changing some stuff but not for no reason. The changes that’ve been made added to the overall story for me and gave characters from the game more of a story. That David episode was just an intense
