So, it seems like the WWE Hollywood Elite (Walmart exclusive) line is over, unless someone has heard otherwise? I haven't heard an official announcement, but no new figures have been announced in months. The last 2 figures (The Rock as Mathayus from The Scorpion King, and Roman Reigns as Mateo from Hobbs and Shaw) also seem to have, at least so far, just have gotten a very limited, possibly non-USA-only release- does anyone have any updates or details on this? I'd like to get both of those figures, but there hasn't even been a Mateo on eBay since December.

It was only set for 2 series I believe, but series 2 hasn’t hit the US as far as I know. I think it hit Canada though

If I remember correctly. Steve mentioned in his thread that he was working on a way to get them out. I wouldn't be surprised if they popped up on Ringside.

Did the Scorpion King Rock ever pop up in any store?
I was hoping though for 3 pack saluting the most successful film series of all time, The Marine, with Cena, DiBase Jr and the Miz

I saw Scorpion King Rock twice here in Canada...and stupidly passed on it since the package wasn't in perfect shape and I wanted it MOC. Didn't know that it would end up being so rare.

Not sure if it showed up anywhere else, but I don't think they've been spotted in The USA at all. From what I can tell, there haven't been any Romans on USA eBay since December, and those sold for a hefty $98.00 each. Ha, you would think those Marine figures (at least Cena and Miz...) would sell better than the plain-looking Fast and Furious Cena, but I have a feeling that Mattel wouldn;t include any firearms of any kind with them.

I'm guessing the small amount that have shown up so far are just a little fraction of the full production run, so hopefully there's inventory in a warehouse somewhere that can make its way to Ringside. I'd like to get them, but not for a high secondary market price.

It was a good idea for a subline, but Mattel was limited to only Universal Studios movies and there were some questionable attire choices (The Rock in a sarong instead of his DSS full gear where they couldve reused Shield molds).

I feel like they started out with the two most boring figures in the line- the F and F Cena was clearanced out hard in my area. I saw plenty of Cena and Rock. Walmart canceled my preorders for Piper and Andre, but I managed to find one Piper in a damaged package.

You know what would have been cool for this line? Glenn Jacob’s (aka Kane) character from See No Evil. I’d love a slasher villain among my Kane figs.

Would've loved a Thunderlips and Clubber Lang from this line.

Would've loved a Thunderlips and Clubber Lang from this line. Yeah- I'm sure the Rocky license would be a bit pricier, but worth it for them. Maybe they could get it cheaper if they don't do Stallone figures? If they sprung for the whole deal, though, I think they'd definitely see the financial return- they could even go the "Ultimate Edition" route, on the more articulated bodies, with interchangeable gloved and ungloved hands, elaborate robes, etc..

Even if by some miracle they could get the Rocky license, there's no way two figures in a store-exclusive subline would've made up for what they paid, or even Ultimate releases. That series has a movie coming out this year, it's not some old cult classic. This line only happened because NBCU owns enough relevant properties that it worked out, they weren't going out of house for it.

Oh, no- if they did Rocky figures, those would have to be non-exclusive items to both make up for the cost and meet the demand.

I really hope Mattel gets to bring all those lost Walmart exclusives for a second run on Ringside. This Hollywood line, never saw Shawn Michaels from Ruthless Aggression S1 yet to see any of S3, didn't see any of Hall, Nash or Shawn from Superstars.

I wonder if Mattel has any left over inventory on these figures are they going to end up at the WrestleMania superstore? Seems like the perfect place to sell them.

It makes more sense then why the prices are so high. I didn't realize they hadn't been stateside. I randomly remembered the Scorpion King one day and looked him up on ebay and he was easily pushing $75.

Yeah, and Roman/Mateo seems to be even tougher to find- when I last checked, none were currently listed, and there were no sold listings since December, and those were three from the same seller at $98.00 each. I feel like there has to be cases of them sitting in a warehouse somewhere- hopefully Ringside has inquired.
