So I just bought a European Title for figures from a local flea market, looks very new and Mattel-like. However, I notice where the logos for WWF/WWE would be, there are just red blocks. Any idea why they went that route? I don’t believe the one I bought was modified, as I’m seeing the same thing online. Looks like out of ones made recently, a few made super recently have the logos, but the ones from just a couple years before that, don’t.

I think it was just e34 Xpac that came with that one. Not sure why though.

The only one with a logo I can recollect is the E19 HBK one with the scratch logo, the others I have in my collection are blank.
Not sure why they decided to go that route seeing as other belts have the block or scratch logos for classic titles

They also removed the words "World Wrestling Entertainment" on some of the Belts, like the oval Intercontinental Championship Title Belt. I wonder if these are related changes, and why??

Removal of logos and wording just makes the titles look cheap & awful. There's no reason you cant put a giant W on the european title to fill in just like they do with the winged eagle etc.

The "World Wrestling Entertainment" name is probably WWE saying no to Mattel. I know it sounds stupid since that's WWE's full name but we have heard the stories of Vince not liking the word "Wrestling" so it makes sense why Mattel haven't included these details on the belts.

The only Euro belt with the logo on it came with Elite 19 HBK. Every release since then has not had the logo at the top. I don’t know why.

I get that it's probably WWE not wanting them to use the full name of the company due to some sort of silly internal whims, but if they can use the modified block logo and RA attitude era logo on everything else, I'm not sure why stuff like this even happens. I hate that big stupid square on that Euro belt and then the lack of lettering on Shamrock's yellow-ass IC title. They've done gibberish before, I'd prefer that over nothing.

YUP. We've heard Steve say that sometimes IP changes things on the whim. I remember him saying that IP requests Roman's skintone, even though it's inaccurate. Makes no sense to me.

WWE demanding Roman have a darker skintone than he actually does just utterly befuddles me. Why the hey would they do that? It's not just dumb, it rubs me the wrong way. Makes you wonder how many people of color they've done that for (considering how many POC have wildly inaccurate skintones).

They took the scratch logo off after WWE changed their logo in 2014, only the original E19 release had the logo
It’s one of those weird WWE quirks that I hate

Are they asking for Roman’s figures to be darker or lighter than his real skin? Because both options are weird but one of them is significantly more sus than the other

Because both options are weird but one of them is significantly more sus than the other WWE requested the skintone that his figures have... When I asked why can't they make his complexion lighter to be more accurate, that was the response. One look at Roman and you could see how inaccurate his figures are. Even when he tans, he's not the same complexion that they choose. The Boogeyman figures are in the same boat too. They make him like two shades darker.

For example, Eddie Guerrero was pretty pale and I think only one figure really got his skintone somewhat right, which was the Hall of Champions. I do get that Eddie tanned at various times, but his figures look somewhat off. Dominique Mysterio is also pale, but his figure looks kind of tan. Just odd. I don't know if it's to reach a certain demographic or to fit political standards. Not trying to stir the pot, but it's an observation.

I don’t actually hate the red block. Overall I think the European belt looks great.

I curse whoever pointed out the missing words on the oval IC belt. I can’t unsee it now.
