If they really want to sell this, they need to put this thing on display for their Mania walk through display. The largest, pure wrestling fan exposure possible AND plenty of kids to see it. Doesn’t matter if they watched during the era or not, it’s a great looking piece that Amy kid would love having - collectors too. I think that was the strategy of the timing of the launch. 100% chance it’ll be on display at Axxess

£480 shipped to the U.K. Yeah, I'm out. That's without customs and import fees as well. Customs are now included in their pricing

I think the price point is too high regardless of value. Take out that Rey & drop price down $75-100.
How disappointed are people going to be if not all the tiers are unlocked and you don’t even get ddp!!

Just noticed something, the early bird backing bonus is ONLY good (based on their wording) if it hits 5k backers between the opening of campaign and April 7th… So no guarantee on that early bird bonus even… I get what they’re trying to do but dang, that’s rough. I’ll get 2 or 3 and hope it fully funds. Thats a good thing tho. It doesn’t discourage people from coming in late. You’ll get Hogan regardless if you back day 1 or the last day as long as it funds early.

5 UE figures and a huge stage. Seems fair that’s if it gets 11k backers

I hate to say it but I'm genuinely disappointed. Given the RAW IS WAR stage was shown months before this Nitro one, I seriously thought they'd go with it first. And for Mattel to be primarily the maker of WWE figures and in conjunction with the RAW ring being released, I honestly don't know why they went with this. I'm pleased for any WCW fan out there, but I'm genuinely gutted that this is the choice. Even the last tease about taking us back to the Monday night wars, I thought this 2 in 1 stage might happen. More annoyed that if this doesn't fund, they ain't going to attempt the RAW stage. Even if they do, it means that ain't happening for 2 years! At least this has saved me £470...

I might be out on this one. Such lame choices for figures. A Rey? Another Hogan?? A DDP we already have an elite of! And a lame Warrior. Should have picked the outsiders. And no ring skirts or turnbuckles?? They swung and missed this time.

It's a thing of beauty... if it doesn't get funded then you all suck The stage looks great but there's a good chance it doesn't reach the tiers to unlock Warrior, Steiner, or even DDP so the value just isn't there if they're not included.

As much as I love the idea of this entrance stage, I just don't really need any entrance stages (personally) and the only things that jump out at me for this are DDP's head and that Rey. Waiting for early-mid '90s Steiners so I can easily pass on BPP, too.

I’m not really excited about this but I’ll back 2 because I want more WWE crowdfunds in the future and feel if this fails we won’t get them. If this gets 11k backers it will be worth the price point.

I'm betting if this gets funded. Well get a wcw ring with a fig just like the raw is war Kane set. There has to be a reason they didn't include ring skirts

I was banging on about it being a 2-in-1, and to be honest, I still think it should have been.
A WCW Product, 20 years after the promotion died off, seems like it will have a limited fan base in general. How many people were watching WCW back then, that 20 years later will want to spend megabucks on a titantron set up? A 2-in-1 would have drawn in the Raw Is War fans that just went out and bought the ring/Kane combo in anticipation of the crowdfund being Attitude Era themed.
The very common figures (Rey, Warrior, Hogan and DDP are already readily available) being tacked on doesn't really do a whole lot here. I get that you want a big name to anchor it (warrior would have been a good early bird, but the figure should be wearing the duster in the pics to help sell it) and then you should have had more obscure wrestler/outfit choices that may not sell too well at retail (WCW Champion Booker T or Bischoff with the beard/stubble for example). DDP in jeans seems really sought after, so even including soft-goods jeans on this DDP figure would have been a wise idea, surely?).
If they struggled with getting the figures right, an extra tier would have been good, if it was a little platform with an announce desk on it.
I was never a big WCW fan, so I wouldn't be backing this anyway, but I will compliment their efforts on the stage itself. It's genuinely amazing looking. The detail, the lights, the effort that went into that is incredible. My wet dream would be the same level of work going into a 2003 Titantron. I'd back that in a heartbeat.
I hope they sort the electronic issues from the last stage (apparently it turned itself off after 30seconds or so). This should be able to be left with it's lights turned on permanently, and I presume it's plug-in and not battery operated.
I won't be involved, especially not at the international prices they want to charge, but I wish them the absolute best with it and I hope, for the sake of those who do back, that it reaches all the tiers and they might, hopefully, chuck an extra or two in again (I believe Macho was a late announcement last time as the crowdfund was struggling?) to garner interest in it.

How disappointed are people going to be if not all the tiers are unlocked and you don’t even get ddp!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you do flex pay and the crowd funds doesn't get fully backed, are you allowed a refund if I were to cancel my order? Cause I'm canceling if it's not FULLY backed. Honestly feels like Hogan was just thrown in there as an early bird, considering it's using all the same parts except for a head. Atleast with macho, it was completely different attire. No announcer table? No ring skirts for our raw or new gen ring? Do they honestly think we should be ok having a WCW entrance stage with no ring? I'm not saying I want another ring, but yeah let's have a nitro stage and a raw ring to go with it? Idk, I'm really struggling to grasp the decisions made for this set. No ultimate booker t? No Nash or hall ultimate? Other than Scott and DDP, the figure choices are pretty lame.

$400 ain't no joke but seems overall reasonable. Look at that stage!!! I appreciate that they loaded it up with figures to make it more of a value.
Its still a lot of money. Going all the way up to 11K backers for the final stretch is pretty surprising to me.
I hope its made but I don't know if I'll back it now that I see it in person. My biggest gripe is probably Warrior, Hogan and Rey 3 of the 5 choices. I think the Rey gear and the Hogan gear is pretty weak. I like the new headscans and everything but that Hogan doesn't stand out much compared to his previous UE's even though I get that this one is different. They Rey gear is just a pretty boring choice and sort of an odd fit with the rest. I would've probably preferred a singlet or Halloween Havoc 97 Eddie.
Warrior is cool but I think it fits well in the Elite line. Looks like some new molds here, too, which maybe could have gone further if used for a more exciting character.
I think a UE Outsiders would have been a great choice and they could have basically reused the new UE Razor and Diesel molds with some different heads.
But overall I think its really cool and a good value.

Here's my initial thoughts after getting the email:
WCW Nitro stage is definitely one of my biggest wants and I'm sure it's a big deal for other collectors too. This stage looks incredible, almost exactly like the display we saw at SDCC last year. the lights all look authentic, they left no stone unturned here.
Looking at the figures, honestly the one standout of the lot is Steiner, considering we haven't seen him at all in the line whereas we've seen the others in one form or another.
Rey's a decent pick for a pack-in figure, in true Nitro fashion the Cruiserweights are opening the show here. Looks like they're using the E100 head to start, which is one of the best Mysterio heads we've gotten. Not someone I associate with Nitro especially but I suppose it makes sense to make him the pack-in with the massive scale of this playset.
Hogan looks like an improvement over the Fan Takeover piece, since many were using him as a WCW debut version, and the sheer amount of things he's slated to come with, and that staying power of the Hogan name seems like it'll work in the same way Macho Man saved the New Gen campaign.
DDP's a little meh. More Ultimates the better sure, but I would've done the highly requested jeans look instead of the same attire we've seen twice as an Elite and can easily be made a UE.
Warrior as the top tier is a little meh too, but not breaking my heart if we don't get him unlocked considering we got a WCW Warrior as the first Ultimate.
Now something I would've included as either a tier or add-on are alternate set parts for the NWO Takeover episode of Nitro, maybe the commentary desk to complete the arena feel since the New Gen set felt all-inclusive to the 90s WWF experience.
Overall I'll likely back this, but having seen a few fanmade Nitro stages even recently I don't feel as inclined to trip over myself backing this one. $400 is a little steep but I'll keep my eyes watching this one progress

I thought it made perfect sense for this to be the RAW IS WAR stage. We already have the ring to go with it. I think the stage would have been more cost efficient since it doesn’t have as much lighting and detail. I’m disappointed for sure but atleast I’m saving myself $400. Better luck for the next time they do this.
