LETS GO STRONGBOW STRONGBOW SUCKS LETS GO STRONGBOW STRONGBOW SUCKS
Mark nerd losers sitting in the crowd with neck beards and fake belts on their shoulders -
FIGHT FOREVER FIGHT FOREVER
If Mattel makes Strongbow - YOU DESERVE IT YOU DESERVE IT

Wow can’t believe this thread made it to two pages.
I think the main reason they pulled the Jay fig is because the crowdfund project is a life size version and they didn’t want to affect the backers

I might be in the minority (but I'm not sure that I am) - I've been watching wrestling since the late 80's..... and I don't even remember Chief Jay Strongbow. Why do we need this figure so bad? Not being a jerk, it's a legit question.... Probably because he wasn’t around in the late-80s.

I actually watched Strongbow wrestling on tv in the late 70’s into the early 80’s. He was the number 2 baby face for awhile with the company and he was very popular then.
They should have released the figure on general principle….wrestlers and actors as well, play roles as part of their jobs.
I’m a vet and I don’t have a problem with Slaughter misrepresenting his military service as part of his gimmick.

Strongbow wrestled in to the early 80s, and he's a significant figure in wrestling history, and WWF/WWE history, so I can see why people want a Mattel figure of him, but he wouldn't be a big seller- he's the kind of figure that should be a limited exclusive, maybe as part of a multipack. it was the store exclusive to Elite 90, it was scheduled for Target since Walmart had Goon in 89

Well that's kind of what I meant, I tend to think I'm one of the older people on this board at the age of 45 - perhaps I'm wrong on that - and I can't even say I've seen a full Strongbow match..... I wonder how many people on this board have watched a single Chief Jay Strongbow match?

Did they stop doing those per-Elite-wave exclusives? I can't think of any recent ones.

Nobody actually wants a Chief Jay, they want to be one of the resellers with a box full I actually want one, but then again I want as many characters from wrestling’s past as possible. Hell, I’d get a Spiros Arion if they released it. But you know what…I hope we can at least get Wahoo McDaniel. I’ve seen some of his old stuff and he was great. I think Wahoo was at least First Nation

I only know Chief Jay Strongbow from the Adam Sandler Movie Big Daddy where he chokes out the delivery guy and gives credit to Strongbow.
I’m still offended though
