I think for me, the hardest part is seeing jazwares doing a better job. They may be a but to large but the gold looks more realistic and they are slimmer

I been asking Steve for this as well. The belts at the time of release, were awesome. Superior to the way jakks did title belts. But, I agree, everything has seemed to get better besides the belts. I've converted a lot of titles using a Dremel and leather for the strap. The clips need to go. It makes the title look like it's hovering around the waist. And forget it of the figure has elaborate entrance gear. I've actually started thinking about purchasing a 3d printer to make for my personal hobby. Yeah I could buy "those" belts, but I have a lot of figures on display, I might as well make my own.  100% agree about the clips. Which is why I wish they'd copy the Round 5 belt design. For those curious, this is what it looks like. They fit so much better on figures |

At this stage the belts should have been slimmer with a more realistic gold colour. There is no reason why mattel cannot make the very best belts in the world - they have the licence for the biggest wrestling company in the world.

I hate when they can't be draped well over a shoulder without being connected and when they don't bend to wrap around a waist smoothly without having big visible corners in front.
I would love to be able to buy a multipack of belts to add to figures that didn't come with one. Winged eagle, classic ic title, classic tag titles, hardcore title, etc. I would buy multiple of those packs.

I don't really see much of a way that belts could improve while still being cost effective. I'd love fake leather straps and I wish they'd integrate them once in awhile for exclusives or even chases. But other than that, I'm pretty pleased with belts overall. There are a few releases that are questionable but I don't see how the AEW-Jazzwares title belts are any sort of upgrade. They seem very comparable to me and I think I might even prefer Mattel's approach considering the sizes of some of the AEW titles are way off.

Steve said it wouldn't work so looks like we are going to continue to get effortless cheap crap. Hope another company gets the renew contract |

Hope another company gets the renew contract I DO NOT want another company to get the license for Figures. I think Mattel has done a great job, and I don't want to start collecting different lines, and potentially at slightly different scales at this point... it is disappointing that Steve doesn't think it would work for belts. I'm not sure I agree with that, but he would know more than me. The only way for make it cost effective for them is to release them in Ultimate Belts packs, because if they pair them with the UE figures we're gonna lose a lot of accesories which I'd rather have than 1 belt. And I would be perfectly fine with that. As it is I'm buying more and more belts from custom makers, so if Mattel could get close to that quality, I would certainly pay for them. |

On Instagram, I have belts from Forbidden_Figurines Kaoswrestlingklub thebeltlab and will be placing an order soon with turnquist_fig_belts Forbidden is going through a restructuring right now, had actually stopped making belts a few months back, but seems to be getting ready to launch again on a smaller scale...From my experience, her belts are hands down the best in the business. The wait time was horrid though, and they were SUPER pricey. Turnquist seems to be next in line in terms of quality, so I cant wait to figure out what I want to order, and place it. Prices are reasonable and turnaround seems better than FF. Kaos is very good too...quality might not match FF, but the price is good, also makes figure shirts, and the turnaround is pretty damn quick. I'm waiting for my belt from thebeltlab, but his stuff looks good on the gram.    |
