When we look back at the early elites they have come a long...long way. Better articulation, better face scans, extra accessories and they continue to get better and better.
Why have the belts never followed suit? The aew belts look way better on figures, just seems crazy that the winged Eagle title has been the same since the start - does anyone else feel like the belts are no longer good enough for the figures? Seems like other companies have overtaken mattel on belts.

I’ve never seen an AEW figure/belt in detail.
What are the belts like? How are they different?
One thing that needs to be updated are the weight belts. The lack of a front “buckle” looks bad.

AEW belts are like exactly the same
The only real difference is the plates are slightly thinner

Wish they'd make their plates the way Round 5 did with their UFC belts. They'd sit so much more flush around the figures that way.

Yeah, not a fan of the belts at all amd the weight belts are absolutely turrible. There are a lot of great options for people that make customs on IG. I have taken to purchasing these, especially for the Ultimate Editions in my collection. I hate spending $40 for a great figure and having the rinky titles they come with on them.

Yes, every AEW belt since the Walmart Hangman has been stiff as crapand doesn’t want to go in the holes, if they had kept the original Series 1-2 world title maybe I would agree

It's just crazy that everything else has come such a long way over the years. The scans, the hands (I hate the hands) the accessories and more recently the articulation - but for some reason the belts have never changed. When you look at the winged Eagle title or the tag title or even the ic they are all a dark brushed gold, not the thick hilarious shiny gold versions we are getting. Mattel are better than this, the ultimates at least should come with ultimate belts!

Refreshing as talk is starting about an ultimate belt line/belt improvements. Hard to believe the belts have never ever had an upgrade

Saw the series 100 stunning Steve figure today snd the belt looks very large.
I’ve only seen pics of him with it over his shoulder but it looks very large to me

If anything the Mattel belts seem to have gone backwards I got an Elite Lashley about a year ago with the WWE title and the plates just disintegrated right out of the box, and it just generally didn’t look as fancy pants as previous versions I’d had of the same belt

Belts aren’t near the quality they used to be imo
They should do some Ultimate belts as a Mattel Creations exclusive or something

Yeah the annoying part is that we know mattel can do better. There needs to be a belt overhaul because they just look cheap and no longer meet the quality standards of modern day figures.

I been asking Steve for this as well. The belts at the time of release, were awesome. Superior to the way jakks did title belts. But, I agree, everything has seemed to get better besides the belts. I've converted a lot of titles using a Dremel and leather for the strap. The clips need to go. It makes the title look like it's hovering around the waist. And forget it of the figure has elaborate entrance gear. I've actually started thinking about purchasing a 3d printer to make for my personal hobby. Yeah I could buy "those" belts, but I have a lot of figures on display, I might as well make my own.

The belts need to be redone for sure. They never fit on the waist properly and about half of them are too big.
