But who else? Jimmy Snuka for example. I'm thinking of wrong doers as opposed to people who don't deserve to be in based on wrestling merit.

I don't believe any player has ever been removed from any pro sports Hall of Fame. Some have been banned from being elected (Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson, etc), and others just simply won't be elected due to ties to PED's (Bonds, Clemens, A-Rod, Sosa, McGuire, etc). But no one has ever been actually removed once in.
Drug users, murderers, racists.....once you are in, you are in.

But no one has ever been actually removed once in. Drug users, murderers, racists.....once you are in, you are in. why aren't either of them in? I'm aware of the A-Rod, Sosa and McGuire allegations of peds, corked bats etc. but not hugely into the sport so never heard why Rose or Jackson are kept out. |

I can understand a female who won for multiple years and took the game to a new level. Molly and Ivory don't really fit that. Beth was a new breed, sure. But she wasn't around very long.
Celebs should be obvious. I mean ... come on ... Drew Carey? Donald Trump?
Maybe if you put Godfather in under his actual name, as his other characters did a lot. But a pimp who was popular because of his hoe train? Come on. As for JBL ... that's a tough one. Yes he won titles. There's just something off about him I can't put my finger on. Maybe, to me, he wasn't around long enough as the JBL character.

Well, they weren't technically banned from the HOF since the HOF wasn't a thing when they were banned, they were banned from Baseball as a whole (they couldn't be a part of the Major Leagues, Minor Leagues, or any other events held by the MLB). When the HOF started in the mid-1930s, writers just chose not to elect any of them to the HOF out of principle, though Shoeless Joe did get numerous votes each year (though never anywhere near enough to get elected) and write in votes later on. Also, the fact that the guy who banned them was still commissioner at the time, that probably helped keep them out as well. Though, of the 8 who were banned, only two would have had a chance of being elected to the HOF: Shoeless Joe Jackson and Eddie Cicotte, the rest didn't have the stats to get in. It wasn't until 1989/90/91 that the HOF board made it official that anyone who was actively on the banned list would not be able to get elected to the HOF, their name wouldn't even be on the ballot. This was looked at as a way to keep Rose out of the HOF because most figured Rose would get in if he were on the ballot, keeping him off the ballot was a way to insure he wouldn't get in. |

So, the owners got together and elected/created the Commissioner's position. The new commissioner was a former judge who not only loved Baseball, but ruled in favor of the owners on a number of cases - including one that would have brought free agency to baseball 50 to 60 years before it actually did. The commissioner was brought in to "clean up" baseball in the eyes of the fans. The first thing he did was ban the 8 White Sox players that were known to have been involved in the "throwing of games". He also made it law (in baseball) that any player would be banned if they were known to be betting on baseball, conspiring to throw games (lose intentionally), or even having knowledge of someone doing it and not reporting it to the commissioner's office. Essentially, betting on baseball became the cardinal rule in baseball, the most despicable act you could perform. For Rose, he was caught betting on baseball (oddly enough, the findings came about 70 years after the White Sox threw the 1919 World Series), even doing it from the Reds clubhouse, that's why he was banned. |

The Hall of Fame should be for life. The WWE is owned by Vince who is FAR from perfect so how can you judge wrestlers because of their personal lives?
