vs. Bret Hart (WrestleMania 8) - a great match. One of my all-time favorite Mania Matches. vs. Rick Rude (Wrestling Superhero's VHS, Cage match at MSG) - a really good match from two of my favorites, just like the one above. This was the 1st time I saw anyone come off the top of the old blue steel cage, I hadn't seen the Snuka stuff prior to this. vs. Mr. Perfect (can't remember exactly when, it was a house show in late 1990 or early 1991) - Piper strips Perfect out of his singlet, Perfect puts it back on during the match. Another fun match, not quite as good as the two above, but very entertaining.
Hard to pick a fourth, some of these come to mind: vs. Greg Valentine (Starrcade 83) - a vicious match. vs. Paul Orndorff (one of the early SNME) - they fought underneath the announcer's desk which was elevated above the ground. vs. Jimmy Snuka (1984 House Show) - in the old Spectrum. vs. Ted DiBiase (1991, one of the WWFs VHS tapes) - his interactions with Sherri were always great. vs. Ric Flair (1991 House Show at MSG) - Piper and Flair always entertained. vs. the Mountie (Royal Rumble 1992) - not the best technical match, but I loved the fact he won the IC title. vs. Shawn Michaels (1992 House Show) - another fun match from his IC title reign. vs. Goldust (WrestleMania 12) - a good match, smart move making it a brawl instead of a regular match. w/Randy Savage vs. Hollywood Hogan & Bret Hart (Nitro 1998) - I don't remember much from the match but he and Bret had a brilliant moment in the match. Macho and Hogan were fighting on the outside of the ring and Savage had a chair, Bret and Piper were wrestling inside the ring, Piper was on the ground and Bret had him by the legs, he was about to do the spot where he (Bret) drops down and headbutts his opponent in the abdomen, at the last second, Savage passes the chair to Bret and Bret headbutts the chair. Loved it.
Also, not really a match, but I loved his 2-minute segment in the 1992 Royal Rumble with Ric Flair, that was great.

February 5, 1987, house show vs. Adonis. Main Event of the 1st live show I ever attended. I still remember the last :30 seconds.
Not a match but the segment where Piper destroyed the Flower Shop with a baseball bat.
vs. Savage January 1990. It was on one of the Coliseum Videos and features a great ‘dueling airplane spins’ spot.
PWG WrestleReunion Legends Battle Royal, I think January 2011. Last 2 men were Piper vs Terry Funk. I was there live and have the Highspots DVD.

I never saw Piper as a heel in his prime as by the time I started watching in 89 he was a face, but he was a firm favorite of mine. A huge reason for this was that I grew up in Scotland and watched wrestling with my grandfather who is about as Scottish as you can get so he would get the biggest kick out of Roddy Piper. Roddy Piper and Rick Rude is one of the first feuds that I remember seeing, but I always remember it just fizzling out without any big pay off.
Roddy Piper vs Ted Dibiase: UK Rampage 1991 Glasgow: The main event of the first ever wrestling show I went to and this match was so much fun. I loved when Roddy would rip on Sherri on commentary and she caused some shenanigans in this match, I remember him doing the spot where she would get on the apron and he would plant a big kiss on her lol.
Roddy Piper vs Bret Hart: WrestleMania 8: This is easily a top ten WrestleMania match of all time for me. We got to see a bit of heel, street fighter Roddy Piper shine in this one and I think they did a great job of making Bret look like a star. The promo the two do before the match is great as well.
Roddy Piper vs The Mountie: Saturday Nights Main Event Feb 1992: Ok, I will admit that the match the two had at the Royal Rumble was better, especially with Hot Rod winning the title there, but I watched this show with my grandfather and Piper with the shock proof shirt on was something he freaking loved, he was laughing so hard over it. Whenever I think of Roddy Piper, my grandather laughing at the shock proof shirt is what always comes to mind.
Roddy Piper vs Mr. Perfect: Battle of the Superstars 2: This was a VHS tape that I bought purely based on the fact that it had Piper on the box and the match did not disappoint, this is such a fun match and the two had great chemistry together.
I want to give one honorable mention and to be honest if I did this list next week, chances are this one could replace Piper vs Perfect. I am talking about the match from Survivor Series 1991, this was such a fun opener and the interaction between Flair and Piper is a huge part of why I loved it so much

Yeah pretty much. They did continue to have matches on the house show circuit into 1990 but yeah since this was televised its considered to be the end I still wish they stretched it out with the finale happening at WM VI.This feud def deserved the big stage.Shame we never got that in the end

He had great chemistry with both guys. I've often wondered if Piper was supposed to have a big feud with DiBiase in 1991 but his leg injury from the motorcycle accident changed the plans, I think those two could have had a top-level feud during that year, and you throw in Sherri as well - man, that could have been great.

Though it wasn't televised at a PPV, it did happen at MSG. I believe Ron Trongard and Hillbilly Jim did the announcing, at least I believe those were the announcers on the Wrestling Superheros VHS. Rude is wearing the blue grim reaper tights. If my memory is correct, I believe this was the first steel cage match I ever saw.

That plus the steroid stuff with Martel during that time made the Dibiase feud pretty much not go anywhere sadly

If my memory serves me, and judging by who I thought the announcers were for the Piper/Rude match, it doesn't, but the matches were: Hogan vs. Hercules - SNME 1986 Savage vs. Warrior - MSG House Show just before WM5 Demolition vs. Powers of Pain & Mr. Fuji - WM5 Snuka vs. Hammer - SNME 1989, Garvin was the special guest ref Piper vs. Rude - MSG House Show in Nov/Dec 1989 Is it the wrestling superheroes that has warrior doing a gorilla press slam on the cover? While we're at it, I'll do my top 4 Piper's Pit segments...
Snuka-What a feud this was. The heat here was off the charts. Best heel in the 80s and this segment proves it
Andre/Hogan-Perfection with the heel turn here.Loved everything about it
Frankie Wiliams-Hot Rod beating the snot outta em. Gold
Brother Love/Morton Downey Jr.-Crowd was dead for it but I still enjoyed it. Was great to see em return after 2 years
