Hi all, what would your thoughts be on a Hasbro inspired Ultimate Edition line alongside Coliseum Collection? I recently mocked up some customs based on an Ax Battler figure to give a good indication of what it could look like. Here’s Warrior:

Those look awesome. I’d be all in for a Hasbro themed line.

This would have been so much more preferable to the LJN series for me personally

Just like the LJN line it will depend on my want for the figures.
This re doing of perfectly fine elites isn’t for me personally. I’ve been tempted by Damien, but I don’t need Rude or Jake.
If they were figures I need I’d be in. Ljn and hasbro have figures I want, but it’s who is under contract.

I don't mind the occassional toy homage figure, but I want modern scanned/digitally sculpted heads, not "stylized" cartoony looking heads, if I wanted hand-sculpted vague likenesses I'd buy figures made in the 1990s.
I still think they should have used scanned heads for Retros and Superstars. Customs in that style that use scanned heads look so much better.
Also top of my wishlist for a toy homage figure would be an Elite or Ultimate version of Smash N Slam style DDP, blue-diamond shirt, jeans, and serious headscan.

If Mattel wants to release lines as an homage series to LJN, Galoob, OSFTM, Hasbro, and BCA, I wouldn't complain until I saw the size of Damien in the hasbro Jake release.

Sure I guess but in normal Ultimate style not a big steroid body like that
I feel like most of the big Hasbro attires have been done already tho outside of Warrior and people who aren’t signed. They just did Razor as a normal release

There’s probably a few attires used in Hasbro figs that would translate well to UE but not everything. I’m never a fan of a line that restricts itself.

I disagree with wanting the scanned heads/realistic likeness. HOWEVER - Mattel’s execution has been so bad that your vision would be better than what we have gotten in most cases.

It's an interesting idea but between the ljn coliseum line and the regular elite and ultimates it feels like overkill. And there are certain hasbro looks that have already been done in elite or ultimate form.
I collected hasbros and not ljns but i will say the ljn packaging is more memorable. I would prefer hasbro specific looks to be made into elites and ultimates as needed.

I have more nostalgia towards Hasbros and Jakks BCA figures, so I'd be all for this

I would like an homage to the Hasbro line in the Ultimate Edition Line, but I would want them to be in the same body molds used already by Mattel for all Ultimates, these would look out of place with other figures from Mattel.
