Hi everyone, not really up to speed with this matter, but what is the reason Edge's R logos have been altered? His Elite 83 still had the R's boxed but it does not seem to be the case with recent releases.

They’ve been using the Rated R logo without the permission of the MPAA and someone in charge of it finally noticed, so WWE can’t use it unless they want to pay for it (assuming that’s an option they were given). They might have just been told they couldn’t use it and not allowed to pay for it
WWE is in the wrong here it’s just really annoying

Mattel LAGS once again on giving us great home run attires. Now we can’t get any prime Edges without looking incomplete. What a bummer. I’m glad we at least got that rsc edge heads and mania 24 attires. It’s such a shame that we can’t get unforgiven 2006 or that new purple attire in complete form.  ! |

So I guess, with the trademark issues, the most accurate Edge's we will get moving forward are the ones based off his Attitude Era - 2005 looks (i.e. - Legends Edge w/ the white/red). Sucks though, Edge's attires in figures/video games look totally different w/o the box around the R.

It's not even just the box around the R. They can't use the Rated R Superstar on the sides of the tights either.

Gauntlet isn’t the right word but it’s not plain wrist tape, he had different versions of this for most of his outfits. Sometimes he wore plain color tape but his figures should come with these because it’s easier for me to add wrist tape myself than this  |

It kills me how long WWE has used other people's/group's IP, trademarks, and logos, either blindly or without permission, and then they have to go out of their way to correct them; it doesn't make it easy for us fans. Stemming back from using them using the WWF letters, "Incredible Hulk" Hogan, and Frank Shamrock's inverted tribal clover logo, to name a few. SOMETIMES they realize it, and do different things to circumvent it, like naming Peter Senerchia to Tazz. Regardless, only 2 things can be done about designs that have been taken from us, due to WWE's folly: fix it or accept it. Figs can be potentially remedied with decals/paint; replica belts, not so much. =\

Honestly as much as this is a kick in the pants, nothing a little decal work can't solve. Sucks for MOC collectors, but I'm willing to dip my toes in the decal world

Decals are amazing. I've been it for awhile & definitely got better with practice. If a decal can fix it, I'm in. Hell, I did my own UE Zeus with paint & decals, similar to the SummerSlam Elite, when the UE first came out. After seeing the pics of the Elite, I like my custom better than Mattel's official attempt. 😅

After seeing the pics of the Elite, I like my custom better than Mattel's official attempt. 😅 I used decals a couple of times like making an early NAO Billy Gunn to go with the Legends Road Dogg . Bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it'll cure any inaccuracies brought on by corporate head butting. I fully intend on getting a set of decals for the RA Edge |

Not that this Edge affects me, but I feel for those who really wanted the Rated R era Edges. I absolutely hate it when things feel incomplete and I'm not a huge fan of decals. I remember I bought one of the decals that are constantly hyped up here for a Hogan and Raven. I followed the instructions and it ended up looking like messed up printed paper. It just doesn't feel the same as something that's factory made. I think the closest to Mattel quality was Thedean170's. That dude made incredible decals and unfortunately got banned from here. Anyways, on the topic of Edge I really want a pre Rated R Edge. That means metallic tights Edge with his briefcase and ripped torso. There's a ton of attires from that era I want.

I didn't think it was either TBH, and I only noticed it on the RA Edge, didn't occur to me for E94 since the UE has been my return Edge and he has the logos intact.
