Look at it this way Only roughly 2500-2750 people wanted this set. Maybe even less. How does that make you feel? Niche of the niche. I mean, not taking into account those that couldn’t afford it or those international buyers that didn’t want to pay the extra or those that couldn’t justify spending that much right now. I personally think WCW was a 70% garbage post Hogan signing and I still wanted it. I don’t think niche is the problem. International screwed international. Sorry just wanted to say that lol, but I do agree Mattel screwed the international backers for sure, and that blame is solely on Mattel and not the ones who tried to back it and it just wasn't enough. I wanted it after they included Steiner, and was going to keep the stage in storage but we tried our best. |

Yeah,I agree there's something definitely pathetic to me too...... about this comment Truth hurts lol Well,I backed one and that definitely doesn't make me anymore of a "true collector" then the people that didn't but if you believe it does I think that shows....never mind ill just leave it be lol |

There's a weird narrative that's happened overnight about the size of this thing now being an issue. This was literally something said from the very start. The stage would have taken up 7 cubic feet, it was gigantic. |

Had this been 2020, I'm convinced the stage would have easily funded. "had this been before historic inflation and before the cost of living skyrocketed, it would have been successful" I said from the jump that the economy was probably gonna stop this from happening and people here cited the fact they were doing fine so clearly the economy isn't as big of an issue as I was making it out to be 🙄. |

I see Steve is saying the thousands who voted for Steiner to be moved up in the tiers didn't show up to back the stage. I bet a lot of them, like me, showed up but just found the payment options weren't showing up or working either. I'll never understand why PayPal wasn't allowed. Oh well.

Thank you for responding. Could you do a poll to see? I've had people say they'd pay more and I'd definitely pay a big price for this. I'd even take the stage, mysterio and steiner for more than the $400 Polls are free. The item won’t be. I had thousands of people vote for Scott Steiner to be moved up and be paired with Rey and they never showed up to back the project. Sub 5K, that item is sadly priced out of existence. Well this is just stupid! Why would y'all vote on this poll if you had zero intent on backing the project? |

This GI Joe vehicle and figure was $300 -- it had SO much less value than the Nitro stage. It had more than 25,000 backers. I think we need to accept the wrestling market is pretty niche, especially when people aren't bored during COVID. I disagree on it having more value. A HISS tank scaled up to Classified size is absolutely insane. It's huge. But yes, the GI Joe market makes the wrestling market look like gumball machine toys. Target can't even stock GI Joe, it's gone the second it hits the shelf. The only crowdfunds I've ever backed were the Haslabs Galactus and the Sentinel ... because come on ... action figures almost as tall as my toddler daughter? That's plain rad. |

I've been in a funk since the crowdfund fail. I've always had the ToyBiz Nitro Arena behind my couch, in a box, for the last 24 years; I always meant to do a #DIY Nitro stage, 'cause I hated the default. The non-backing made me finally do something about it. I hope this gets revisited in some way. That stage is too phenomenal of a piece to ignore. And #DIY jobs like mine, while nice... is not the desired outcome. |

I legit was going to pay the $400 for just the Rey before Steiner was added. I could have just bought the figure on secondary for a lot less had it got funded but wanted to help the stage get backed for those that wanted it too. You’re a true wrestling collector brother I respect that. I backed 5 stages to keep 3 and sell 2 for people who missed out. It’s pathetic we couldn’t get 5k behind this project people will make any excuse they can but reality is this one will be a regret of our community for years to come. Mattel did an amazing job with this stage unfortunately the audience they have isn’t. ...no it won't be. The reality is less than 3250 people backed this (there were 3 x 250 orders). A lot of people didn't/don't care and certainly won't be crying/regretting it for years to come. 100% telling you and whoever didn’t back the stage you ain’t a true wrestling collector. Nah people bitched and moaned about more figs more ultimates please and Mattel gave us 5 potential ultimates with this crowdfund. And even added a second to the base cause everyone was complaining. Yeah all the LEDs, plastics, lights whatever costs money to produce this is a business they need to make a profit so I don’t see the problem with that at all. Thousands of fans who saw this stage years ago were all over it and when it came time to put your money where your mouth is they didn’t. That’s pathetic to me 100% I’ve stated many times on the thread that I feel for my international brothers and offered MANY times to back a few more for the TRUE fans that really wanted it and got no response. It will be a regret for us not Mattel they make millions off the WWE line they didn’t have to offer us the stage they offered it to us cause we said we wanted it… 🤣🤣🤣 |

I'm kind of glad this didnt make it. I only wanted the Hulkster figure and $400 was a steep price for only 1 figure I really wanted. ROFL ..talk about being in the "minority" holy hell.. To each their own I guess. I'm a Hogan collector and only a Hogan collector. Dont have the space or funding to buy all figures I want, so I decided awhile ago that Hulkster was it for me. |
