I love the entrance - the whole thing. Sad, it has stalled. Appreciate the efforts to add Steiner upfront ... hoping Mattel has one more trick up their sleeves. Only thing they could feasibly do is stop scamming international buyers but apparently there’s 0 interest in that

Damn after listening to Steve on that second interview he posted today it sounds like the announcers table was going to possibly be included but the price would have made this thing a little higher. Makes me wonder if the fans weren’t so critical of the tiers not being figures if we could of eliminated few of these figs in this crowdfund and got the announcers table 🤔 However, Steve said they don’t necessarily like to throw away ideas so this may be released down the line if situation is right. Another possible incentive to back this thing for sure! Cause if this doesn’t get backed I wouldn’t see them going out there way to offer the table in future releases. What interview is this?

Only thing they could feasibly do is stop scamming international buyers but apparently there’s 0 interest in that "We've listened to our great international fans regarding the WCW Nitro Stage and have a very special announcement... Nothing is changing! That's right - along with the surcharge shipping plus standard shipping, you'll still get to pay ALL import fees upfront... still with NO payment plans! And don't forget, if you join us in backing the stage today, you are STILL guaranteed the special £30-£50 surprise "mystery charge"! We hope you'll enjoy these exciting non-changes"🤭

I don't agree with your early bird point of view. I think unlocking for everyone is a much better way of doing it. Firstly, on the logistical side, Mattel don't have the pain in the hole of trying to ship out a figure to only a select number of people.
Secondly, and this is the big issue, if you do get your early bird unlocked, there are a lot of people who wouldn't have had the cash ready, or simply didn't know the crowdfund existed, who might only be looking to buy after the early bird is already over.
For those people, you're now giving them a reason not to back the product. 'Why should I pay the same as everyone else, but get less?'. And it's a fair argument. I know if I was interested in the New Gen and realised I wasn't getting Macho, then I wouldn't have backed. By giving the figure to everyone, you encourage early sales, but you also keep those who couldn't back in time happy aswell. Winner winner.
The problem here was the early bird was a figure that had been done to death and no one cared about (I appreciate they were trying for "pastamania", and it didn't work out, but a swapping around of the tiers and removing Hogan altogether would have been a better idea.
This is the approach mattel took. And clearly it didn’t work because almost nobody backed on the final day for the Hogan. Of course the figure sucked but the way the early bird was devised didn’t work at all either
I still disagree, the early bird way of doing things now is the right way. The reason it didn't get backed in time is the same reason it's not going to be backed at all - people aren't interested in the overall product (also, no one had any interest in the Hogan to begin with).

So are we suppose to be under the impression that we shouldn't expect a Scott Steiner basic or elite within a year or year and a half? Also, what would happen if Scott Steiner was "blacklisted" as a figure due to reasons within the next year and a half?

The early bird special should have been Steiner and they should have done it like Macho. The reason you do it that way is so you have to day it starts, the early bird date and the day it ends as days that get huge numbers vs the start and end dates. If you tell people everyone will get it if you meet X goal, you end up with a bystander effect where people don't feel the need to back because someone else will.

Oh well, we’d just get 3 more Warrior UE, all in singlets

Forgive my naivety. But if I bought a WCW Nitro entrance for someone outside the US. What legal charges are there to get it to said place? Has anyone investigated that?
I get the sense that Steve would love it to work for you, just as he would love for Walmart not to cancel, legends to be signed or this campaign to work but as the messenger he has to deal with variables that I'm not sure any of us understand. At least I don't. I guess, I fail to understand that if someone say in England pays $400.00 American dollars plus American tax to me and I buy it for my cost ... how much would it legally cost to get it to you if I didn't charge a penny for my efforts?

Depends on how much your local courier would charge for shipment and it’d vary depending on the service

No way to know who's right, but I think the cost (in general and for international customers) is more of a factor than people not being interested. Maybe that's what you mean, though: people aren't interested in what they're getting for the cost.

You'll pay whatever the postage cost is. Then when the person on the other side receives it (we'll say the UK for argument sake), they will be hit with a customs fee of 20% of the TOTAL cost (product + shipping combined cost). They'll usually have to pay a small admin fee of £5 perhaps for the postal service or Revenue having to tell them there's a customs charge.
The reality is, if you offered to buy it for me, and ship it to me, I'd save very little. The international issue has been way overblown by people. Anyone who has tried to figure out a different way to get this has seen that, too.
The only way you could save anything of worth, is if you were to under-value it on the postal declaration and say it only cost like, $100 or something like that. Then you'd save a few £/€ as the customs fee would be lower, but that involves cheating the system a bit (which I'd happily do, but you can't expect Mattel to do it).
