Does anyone know if just the entrance structure, not the stage, fits on a detolf shelf? I’m assuming it’s very close but can’t see any measurements for just that part.

On another note, funded or not, I’m ready for this to be finished. This place ruined this projects fun. The idiotic suggestions, questioning if those who are working with the manufacturer, some downright hateful comments, the “poor joke” (that dead horse has really been beaten). All that just sucked the fun out of this one. The negativity from some members vastly overtook the positive members here. You are right the jokes are in really poor taste at this point. Seriously tho, a lot of this "negativity" in the thread stems directly from people not able to have a discussion or not being able discern the difference between a dissenting opinion and negativity. The poor joke solely exists because supports of the project deemed anyone who didn't love it unconditionally as poors who couldn't afford it, but now that it's being poked fun at, it's all the sudden a problem lol.

Although in Steve comparison photo to the New Gen I think room on the height would be a little tighter than this suggests?

While I don’t agree with the notion of “if you can’t afford it, you’re poor” I haven’t seen much to do about that topic in quite some time here. I have seen the “if you don’t like it or it’s not for you, fine” but I don’t think any of the serious members here would look to others and deem them “poor” for not wanting to fund it. Trolls, sure. But I can’t recall positively contributing members (not just here but across the forum) speaking down to others that way. I know Cardona made the comment to the effect of “if we don’t back it we shouldn’t collect collect anymore” but I know has since clarified his position on saying that and even Steve made mention of it in a podcast appearance. His (Steve, pronouns pal 😉) perception of the comment was more or less how I took it also. I don’t think Cardona meant it as a knock so much as he meant it is something collectors deserve to have because it IS such an awesome piece. Whether you agree with the pricing, figures included/not included, etc - one can’t deny this stage is a first of its kind for this community and something that I think we’ve all dreamed up owning one day. We just never thought it would be possible. I don’t mind constructive criticism or warranted complaints (economic timing, price being expensive because let’s face it $400 isn’t just chump change for most) but to constant “include every figure it’ll back” or “it’s only worth X amount” is asinine. As if any of us have any notion of what Mattel’s over/unders have to be on profit margins for any merchandise. Bottom line they are a company here to make money.

I've asked Steve in his Q&A thread and he mentioned he'd measure it up when he next gets a chance, so hopefully we'll know soon. Based on the comparison he posted with New Gen, it'll be super tight.

Here is what mattel should have done. $300 for the entrance stage and include Eric Bischoff figure for 5k backers. Then at 6k backers add Scott Stiener, 7k backers Nwo Hogan, 8k Nwo Kevin Nash, 9k backers Nwo Scott Hall Ultimates. The other option i would have done is Wcw stage and elite scale ring for the $400 price and no figures. I have to believe either of these options would have more than 2,174 Backers right now. I am not going to listen to people who say mattel could not do that at that price point. They literally pay there factory workers pennies on the dollar, get real. Lol. All I can do is laugh now at the blatant disregard for everything Steve has said. Steve has been as transparent as possible as to the minimum number required by the factory and that $400 is the cheapest they could possibly go and yet we still get "suggestions" like these. Hilarious. Ok then make me a fool. Someone who works at mattel break it down for me. How much does mattel pay there factory workers and how many hours of labor will this require ? How much will the raw materials cost ? How much will the molds cost for this wcw stage ? How much will it cost to ship the product from china to usa ? Sorry if i do not just accept something an mattel employee says. "Mattel and Disney were being subjected to 'serious violations,' the report claimed. Violations included poor pay, forced overtime and unsafe workspaces. Dec 7, 2018" "Responding to whistleblower allegations that Mattel made historical accounting errors, the Hot Wheels and Barbie toymaker on Tuesday said CFO Joseph Euteneuer is leaving the company OCTOBER 29, 2019" "The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) fined Mattel $3.5 million dollars Oct 24, 2022"

Holy sh*t! That video with the other WCW figures is such a tease. So many cool figures that could be posed with that stage and not to mention the possibilities of creating your own invasion. The light modes are pretty rad too and cool that it's controlled with a remote.

Shout out to redster14 on instagram:
"Steve, if this doesn't make it (have backed since week 1), could you look at costing just the entrance and WCW steel letters?"
That would have a great idea to keep the cost down.
and billybragg:
"Right product. Wrong price. It is what it is."
Bingo.

You've missed a lot then if you haven't seen serious members saying things like the poor meme. We've even had mods say wild crap about people who aren't backing. I've seen everything from you are too poor, to you are stupid if you don't back it, to people shouldn't be allowed to comment on this if they haven't backed, to people shouldn't be allowed to say negative things because it might discourage potential backers, to questioning if people who don't back should be on the board, and everything in between. You talk about all the stupid suggestions about what could be changed about the project, and there are very many, but gloss over the laughably desperate pleas for people to tell everyone they know about it, people calling up random businesses like Walmart asking them to back a bunch, thinking of posting QR codes on telephone poles, suggesting RSC should back 1000 of them, saying maybe Mattel is hiding the true number of backers as a surprise, and many more. To paint a picture that the negativity and stupid ideas/suggestions mainly come from people who haven't backed just isn't accurate.
