So of the 1,000 people who backed it yesterday, it was 750 from companies buying in bulk lots and 250 from regular orders? It still might not make it if weβre relying on regular backers Source? |

So my pre order for this set also says "expired". What do I do because I backed from the beginning and I would hate for the final hour to happen and I miss out. Also I don't want place another just for the other one to go throu.

Hmmm finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase it (I'm from the UK). For some reason the payment is not working (and there's no issue with my credit card). Anyone else had any issues?

There was 3 separate immediate jumps of 250 backers yesterdayβ¦ The rest of the backers gradually came through |

There was 3 separate immediate jumps of 250 backers yesterdayβ¦ The rest of the backers gradually came through ...it does seem a bit strange that the jumps/orders were all for the same amount (250), all on the same day... (conspiracy!!! π) |

I don't care who is buying what and how. I appreciate everyone trying to get this thing made. There is a 14 year old kid in 1998 who loves wrestling more than anything in the world that absolutely can't believe this is a real toy that could be in his house.

The number seems stagnated. I'm not sure I understand the mentality of waiting at the 5,000 mark unless finance is an issue (which I understand) or on the fence and something drives them at the 11th hour. But this is rough. I am grateful for the 250 pops and hope they keep coming soon. I of course would love to see the 11,000 for all of us and Mattel ... just how do we get there?

Kinda got me thinking and checked mine, I used Pay in 4 by SHOP Pay and was charged the first payment and now says refunded. I don't know if I should order again or not. |

I already went through the five stages of grief on this and now possibly false hope has been given that it can.still succeed.

I think they used allocated advertising funds to get us Macho in the New Gen Stage. They probably did the same this time by taking advertising funds to get Steiner into the 5k tier. No excuse on why there wasn't commercials for it during both nights of WrestleMania though IMO.
Because if they spent that much money on advertising, it'd have to be recouped, so either the stage price would jump up or the figures would be removed or such.
Advertising isn't free.

Well the excuse would be that WrestleMania sponsors each schilled out a million dollars or more to be featured on one of the biggest live events of the year. WWE does not own Mattel. Mattel licenses WWE and its properties to make toys. In a sense, this project does not matter to WWE. They have nothing at stake. They might give a nice deal on advertising but that doesn't mean that Mattel can afford even then to use that sort of advertising budget to market a one-time purchase, very niche, very expensive item. I'm sure if it were in the cards then it would've been done. |
