I have to admit, while I understand that Mattel is limited to producing figures of WWE’s limited licensed legends, the fact that we’ve all been conditioned to just accept multiple versions of the same talents over and over and over is quite concerning.
I remember having LJNs, Hasbros and Jakks of so many unique talents and now I find myself in 2023 buying the umpteenth Razor Ramon, Randy Savage, Undertaker, Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, etc.
It’s been ok for a few years but at some point something has got to give.
I don’t know how many of us are still gonna be around in 2025 still buying Savages and Hogans.

Definitely would love to get some more Chyna figures through this line.
Also I loved how the Best of Attitude Era line gave us more promo attires, something I’d like to see here, which going by Hall and Austin it looks like that’s a direction this line is taking.
Only so many different wrestling attires we can get of the same rotating guys, so promo attires are a welcomed shake up.

Purple gear Harlem Heat and Sherri. Solo versions of Booker T we've never had, at least 2 different ones, post HH and during his Heavyweight title reign. Deep cut: GI Bro Booker T. Big Poppa Pump era Steiner. Updated WCW Eddie Guerrero. Deep cut: Mongo McMichael with dog. Any of the commentary teams

Steve has answered many questions about dozens of FTITL WWE, WCW, and ECW talent that he'd like to see part of the line, and he tells us time and time again that whoever were clamoring for are the same people he and his team are too.

I'm biased, but when I think of the Monday Night Wars I think of the night Mick Foley won the championship belt for the first time ("That'll put a lot of butts in seats" moment). I'd like to see that version of Mankind with the Job Squad shirt.

I definitely know they can only produce who they have a contract with and I wish more would get signed. Imagine the Holly's, Chris Candido, Al Snow, Steve Blackman, etc.
Like a previous comment said about LJNs and such I remember having Jakks and Bone Crunchers and you could have seriously deep fig fed. Our shelves are going to just be the same guys in different gear and eventually it's gonna be enough is enough for collectors. I say this as a huge Macho and Hall fan but so many options I'd love to see and hope we get there. I love Mattels product and just want more from it.

But LJN, Hasbro, or Jakks didn’t have the license for over 13 years producing over 300 series of figures. That said, Hasbro gave us 3 Warriors, 4 Hogans, 4 Machos. LJN gave us 2 Andres, 3 Hogans.

And when they had the WWE license there were no Legends to sign they were just making the modern rosters. It wasn’t until 2003 that Jakks started the CS line with the legends. And there were a lot of repeats in the CS line as well.

This. Pretty obvious. It’s easy to make mostly unique guys when you only release 11 series, like Hasbro. And even they had about 4 or 5 Hogans over that span.

A few years ago I would have agreed that Mattel can't keep making the same names. But their work over the last couple of years has been top notch. Some really, really great figures that have been major improvements over previous releases. And there are newer collectors who never had a chance to buy figures releases 5-10 years ago, so we aren't always the target audience.
Repeats of top names are a given in any line. Try telling Todd McFarlane to cool it on the Batman figures. But this line has covered A TON of ground. There are definitely some wrestlers I'd love to see signed. But you can look at any era and see pretty decent rosters at this point.

Batman is my main focus on my collecting. lol but you are right they have to treat it like a superhero line where there’s a hero is every wave. And for those who said Jakks didn’t do this is wrong because there were plenty of Austin, Rock, Triple H, Undertaker & Angle figures released during the BCA/TTL days and Cena added to the mix for the RA days. Anyway with Sting no longer signed and the line being a Walmart exclusive I don’t want anyone made for it because just like McFarlane’s DC Gold Labels and Mattel’s RA series I will never see them at any of the 5 area WalMarts. And I don’t feed the scalpers.

I’d be curious to know how many Austins and Rocks Jakks produced in the BCA/TTL days, because it was a LOT.
Regardless, I’ll keep buying every Hogan, Warrior, and Savage they put out.
