Fun Fact, of Savage's 6 world title runs in WCW and WWF, he only lost the title to Hogan & Flair (three times to Hogan and three times to Flair). So, for that reason, I pick neither... I'm trying to find an image of Randy pinning Flair at WM8, but I can't find one, I think it's because Ric's tights were down showing his butt - I have no idea how that happened... Either that or you scrubbed the internet clean of Flair losing... So, I'll just post this... EDIT: I did find this: www.tiktok.com/@kindayellow/video/7216104648967523630

If you ask people who have never watched a second of wrestling to name a wrestler I'm willing to bet almost all of them would say the name Hulk Hogan. His name transcends everything while I'm also willing to bet the average person has never heard of Ric Flair.

Depends on who’s booking lol. Seriously tho, I think it would come down to which era we are talking about. If it’s 80s I’d go with Hulk all the way. If it’s 90s then I’d say Flair has got it. Even 2000s I’d have to go with Flair.

Honestly not a huge fan of either. Even in their prime neither really did it for me, and both have tarnished their careers in their own ways since "retirement". I guess I'll go Flair if we go back to his NWA days where his moveset was more than just chop, fall, flip off the top rope, cheat, figure four, repeat.

I have and a load of those views will be people watching it over and over, but I think between Hogan’s 80’s run, famously shitty movie career, steroid scandal involvement, reality show and racism scandal, Hogan shades it. Plus, he’s one of the most recognisable people on the planet.

Yeah Hogan is one of the biggest mainstream guys ever, probably number 1!, but it’s still amazing to see Flair in the mainstreams in this current day.

The Hogan-Flair debate always comes down to "Whats your standpoint on wrestling?"....If you want to be "entertained" then its Hogan and not even close. If you want something closer to an "amatuer" style wrestling then you choose Flair. If you're running a company and you want to be a national conglomerate, then its Hogan. If you want to run a more territorial type company around a regional portion of the country, then Id take Flair.
Ill always put Hogan #1 because IMO Hogan did what he did but if he were to be moved into a regional promotion like JCP, Sterling Golden could still be a draw. I dont think Flair could have brought WWF to the level that Hogan did though. While Flair was 2nd to none for a regional champion, he never got to that level that Hogan did once wrestling went national.
