I'm at home sick as a dog today and I have binge watched the original Spider-Man trilogy.
It got me thinking, how the hell do we not have a Randy Savage as Bonesaw from Spider-Man? I know that Hasbro has the Marvel license so I'm sure that they could not make a figure and call him Bonesaw in the package. But Jakks back in the day made a Rock figure that was based on his character from Walking Tall, but still called it, The Rock on the package. Could Matt do a Bonesaw figure this way?
Or, I know this is the Mattel thread, but could Hasbro make a Bonesaw that looks like Randy Savage figure?

Hasbro might have an easier time, because Savage's estate's deal is evidently structured differently, as multiple unrelated outlets have been able to license his likeness (e.g. FC upcoming BCA style figure).
Andre's estate has a similar deal in place, where we can still get Andre Elites/Ultimates, etc., but other companies are also able to make (really funny/terrible looking) figures of him.

They’d probably have to pay Marvel/Sony whoever for licensing like I’m assuming they had to for Slim Jim Savage. This thought has crossed my mind too. Would be an insta-buy.

They probably could do a Macho Man figure with a big beard, extra long hair, black trunks, and a tank top. But they wouldn’t be able to do the saw designs on the top or tights and definitely not the bonesaw wording down the legs.

Probably not without paying Sony/Disney as he’s a character from a Spider-Man movie. Hasbro probably could if they get an OK for his likeness from his estate.

I like it a lot. I still think Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero movies ever made. |

They did have those "Hollywood" figures before. Bonesaw would fit perfectly into that line. Hell, add Suburban Commando Hogan to that wave too.
