Hillbilly would be such a great addition to the coliseum collection. He was super over from 85-87, everyone was singing his song and the crowd was always pumped for him.
If he doesn’t get a CC I hope we atleast get an elite with molded overalls and a few new sculpts.

I'd definitely grab HJ as a part of the CC (who am I kidding? I'm buying EVERYONE that comes out in the CC!). Who could we see him paired up with? Unrealistically, it'd be cool to have him partnered with King Kong Bundy, as they squared off on opposite teams at WMIII.

If/when this line ends without a good Golden Era replacement (Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n Wrestling, LJN form-factor, etc); that would put more of my focus almost exclusively on Big Rubber Guys. I think this line will go on for a few years yet. As it’s only two waves a year, it gives them some time to sign new talent like Demolition or British Bulldogs. Those two sets alone would be smash hits. |

I hope we get hart foundation with soft goods jackets and a macho man Not sure that would happen in this line, the Hart Foundation didn't start wearing the jackets until the summer of 1990 after the LJN contract was expired. The tag team set that LJN did put out of them was from their heel days when they really didn't have any accessories. It would be great if we could get two sets of Ultimate's of the Hart Foundation, one from their heel days (Coliseum Collection) and one from their babyface days (regular UE line). The coliseum collection could come with the silver tag team titles and glasses for the Hitman, then they can use the rest of the budget to work on more heads for both guys. The regular UE line could release them with the gold tag team titles, the Sgt. Pepper jackets, silver shades for Bret, and regular shades and the beanie for Anvil. We really need some tag team sets. Would love to see demolition, the Bush walkers, the rockers, the twin towers(akeem and big boss man), the rockers, killer bees(I know unsigned), mega powers(if macho signs one day again), The Fabulous Rougeaus, iron sheik and nikolai volkoff, the mega bucks, powers of pain, road warriors, strike force, the brain busters, rhythm and blues, strongbow bros, King Kong bundy and big John stud, the Hart foundation |

I think they are testing demand a bit by releasing them slowly. We are all gung-ho for these but if they are BOGO on ringside then I think they are moving slower than they would like. It may be best for the line if they release them in single packs so the price drops as a 70 dollar+ price point probably turns off a lot of buyers initially. I think they should be 29.99 at most in reality. Just to expand on the idea of expanding the set. If we look closely at what they have done with the motu origins line, the gijoe 25th anniversary line, the star wars retro line, the tmnt classics line, . They ended up adding lots of new characters who were never produced in the original line. Heck even the retro line has done that(tugboat was never in the line before (as I understand), so I see no reason they can't expand ot unless I am missing something in that they are not allowed to? |
